Juliet held the book with care, like a baby, not knowing how old or valuable it could be. Her hand gracefully caressed its spin and cover. She felt all eyes on her as her finger glided on the edge of its cover.

Opening up she expected a front page but it turned out to be a box with stone plates inside with inscriptions chiseled into them. Juliet let out a shaky breathe she didn't realise she had held in.

Kai leaned over and looked at them as Juliet carefully took them out, "Pages of scribbles?"

Juliet mindlessly shook her head as she traced the lettering, whispering strange words to herself. Undina replied for her,

"These are not just scribbles, they're important texts in a language we were both brought up with, that no one outside of that circle can learn,"

"What do you mean?" Klaus spoke breathlessly, a mini trance coming over him as he stared at the texts before him. He had spent years in their palace library but didn't even know the book, or box, existed.

"These texts are files on us," Juliet spoke slowly, facing Undina who looked back keeping eye contact, the sparkle in her eye giving her all the answers.

"Like police files on you? Or... No, surely not... Files on an experiment?" Kai spoke carefully, his curiosity engulfing him and a need to ask questions burned inside him but his heart cooled this, thinking about their feelings. If it was worse case scenario, he wouldn't be able to take it seeing the women upset.

Juliet was about to open her mouth to say something but Klaus cut her off, "I'm sorry but it's getting late and it's been a long day, maybe it would be best for us to head to sleep,"

Undina gave a heavy sigh, "You're right my Prince. Miss Juliet, keep the book safe with you, we can perhaps read and discuss it together in the morning,"

She gave a quick bow before swiftly swimming out the room without another word.

Juliet closed up the book and held it close to her chest awkwardly as a silence had swam into the room.

"Do you want me to stay over? I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind me keeping you two company," Kai suggested, shifting off the table to swim in his place.

Klaus gave a soft, thankful smile, "You know you're welcome anytime,"

"Do you have a couch for me?" Juliet spoke up, resting her chin on one of her hands, elbow propped up on the table as she lent in slightly.

Klaus met her soft and cheeky eyes and felt his cheeks change to a pink, a chuckle came from him trying to ease himself, "No need we have plenty of guest rooms. Very comfy ones too,"

"Or we could all crash in your room Klausey? Have a sleepover like you and I did when we were little fishlings!" Kai suggested, a hand on his friends shoulder.

He smiled greatly at his friends idea and they both turned to Juliet for her answer.

"As long as you two are fine with it sure!"

Kai just bumped the sea before swimming swiftly out of the kitchen to Klaus's grand room.

Klaus shook his head and laughed at his friend but it fell soon after he looked over at Juliet. Her eyes drooped suddenly and went glassy. He scratched his nape wanting to frown a little and definitely want to rewind time and erase whatever caused her to feel upset.

He got up out if his seat and swam beside her, holding out his hand. She jumped slightly and looked up into his eyes, mindlessly holding his hand.

So beautiful, those eyes, she thought. Pools of memories and emotions unknown. Millions of them yet the same few always appeared, happiness or sadness.

"His eyes, they're so beautiful," the Queen whispered, stroking the boys hair softly as he peacefully slept in her arms, "Did you see them?"

She looked up to her husband with pure wonder and love in her eyes. He saw speckles of gold in her eyes and she smiled with her pearly whites looking down at the boy at back to him.

"Yes I did. More beautiful than every diamond I have seen foolishly thrown down to us," he gently caressed her cheek, planting a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Do you think he will be happy?" The Queen sorrowfully asked, pushing a piece of hair out if the boys face.

"With you as their mother, and this beautiful place to grow up in," he took her chin carefully to face him and meet his soft, meaningful eyes, "Of course my angel fish,"

She sighed contently, kissing his lips softly.

"You eyes," Juliet almost whispered, "They're like diamonds I dreamt of holding as a child,"

"The eyes are the window to the soul," Klaus spoke slowly and softer than a feather, he obtained their hands without breaking eye contact, "So what do you see in mine?"

"So much more than you would tell me," she grazed her thumb on his knuckle.

His eyes pierced her soul and she awkwardly coughed, releasing his hand breaking the eye contact, "I once knew a spell that could play a person's memory through their eye, odd fact,"

Klaus cleared his throat, "That's cool. Uh, Kai is probably waiting for us, we had better go,"

Juliet mumbled a small reply before wobbling in her place and taking his arm to help guide back through the long hallways and to his room where Kai was waiting. Klaus thought on how his friend already found his snacks and his mind drifted over numerous other thoughts that kept swimming around.

A/N:
Undina could've stayed for the sleepover. I want to read the book she gave her and make my brain ache from the "scribbles". Is Klaus hiding something, keep mentioning eyes?
