4} Tail

Juliet's mind switched off momentarily as Undina conversed with Klaus about the new information she had found out regarding the fish tails.

She couldn't help but stare at her tail, her beauty, she was quite different to Klaus. Undina was very different to Klaus, and not just because of their obvious gender.

It was as if Klaus was made out of her imagination, how a merman may look.

On the other hand, Undina. Her silver hair was in eight fishtail plaits with steaks of green in them, some shells added into the design. Her tail was much more grander than Klaus's. It was a glossy pitch black, the occasionally scale a grey or sparkled in the odd light.

She didn't wear a shell bra like Juliet would've guessed, instead it was as if her tail ended up near her chest. The scaled bodice showed off her thicker figure especially as a strong piece of seaweed was tied at her waist. Another piece of seaweed acted as a choker with single gem in the centre.

Klaus only had coloured scales at his wrists, Undina's were like faint grey sleeves which pointed to her clawed hands with various pearl and silver rings.

She was stunning, magical even.

"Juliet? Pretty name for a pretty girl," Undina supposedly spoke to herself as she looked at Juliet, looking up and down at the stunned girl.

Juliet was automatically snapped out of her trance over Undina and hummed in response at the mention of her name. Her wide eyes met Undina's cool grey ones which were sharp yet softened.

"Do you remember how you got here before you passed out, Miss Juliet?" Undina asked, twisted slightly to face her with her arms crossed. Klaus sat in the corner with his chin on his hand.

"Well, I was sent to death by the King and Queen," Juliet spoke slowly, gulping at the end with the pair of eyes set on her.

Undina nodded, signalling for her to elaborate by moving a free hand. Klaus shrugged his shoulders, becoming a bit uneasy.

"The Royals are scared of me and have kept me in their prisons since both my parents 'died'. They feel like I was slowly becoming more of a threat and I guess only tonight they decided to send me to drown as I would disappear without a trace. They're cowards and very dumb if you ask me,"

Undina gave a light chuckle at Juliet's last sentence, "I agree, the Royals have no backbone anymore," Undina looked over at Klaus who daydreamed with a stern expression, "On land Royals I mean,"

Juliet hummed in agreement, fiddling with her fingers.

"But, no offense, why would they be threatened by you?" Undina carefully asked, not wanting to offend Juliet as she had done so too much in her past.

"I don't take offense," Juliet waved off with a dimpled smile, "I think it's because of this,"

Juliet internally hoped her powers worked underwater, to save embarrassment. She took a deep breath, snapping her fingers only to have a light green mist surround her hand like a flame.

Undina raised and eyebrow and gave a smirk, resting her hands on her hips. Klaus straightened up in his seat, amazed by the puny flame which Juliet soon made disappear out of disappointment.

"Magical?" he breathed out, shocked.

Both Undina and Juliet looked directly at Klaus who slapped his cheek, whispering to himself, "forget, forget, forget,"

"My Prince what's wrong?" Undina asked with concern as Juliet mentally cursed herself for upsetting him.

His chest raised up and down quickly for a few seconds before he calmed himself down. He rose from his seat, putting on a breathy smile, "I'll be fine Undina, just a bit of past don't worry,".
