This is dedicated to two boys i secretly ship in my class.
Jam's POV
"Hey Jam! Play us one more song!" one of my classmates, Hayley, said.
I shrugged. "I don't know girls, I'm pretty tired of playing already." I said, teasing them. I chuckled as all 5 girls around me groaned and said "Jaaaaaam."
"Alright, one last time." I said.
I started playing my guitar once more. Hayley, Dani, Natasha, Eleanor and Rina all gasped and smiled as soon as they realized what I was playing.
I strummed some more before signalling them, telling them that they could start singing.
"You're insecure, don't know what for. You're turning heads when you walk through the do-o-or" they all sang together, making me smile and laugh a bit.
"hey Jam, the bell rang already. It's time to grab some grub." my best friend, Mike, said, making all the girls pout and whine "Jaaam."
I chuckled "sorry girls. How about later?" I said, making all of their faces light up again.
Hayley shrugged "sure." they all stood up one by one "Bye Jam!" "Byeee!" "Later okay?"
I laughed "okay okay, I promise."
I settled my guitar on a corner and finally walked off tp the Cafeteria with Mike.
"You're certainly a charmer." Mike joked, nudging me gently.
I laughed and shook my head "Nahh, those girls are all just my friends." Mike gasped and pretended to get hurt.
"how would you think they would feel if they found out you just friend zoned them?" Mike asked, looking at me.
I laughed once more and said "quit it Mike, those girls will never like me. They just like how I play the guitar."
Mike just shook his head "Maybe those girls don't like you. But somebody will do. You're a great guy Jam, I don't see why you're not the school's heartthrob. You should be."
I shook my head "Nahh, I'm not cut out for that role. He is." I said, nudging my head to one of the basketball players as we passed by the basketball court. That basketball player was no one else but Kyle Smith.
He's one of the smartest guys in school. And nope, he is not a nerd, in fact, he's also one of the school's bad boys.
A lot of girls really like him even though he doesn't really talk that much to them. He usually sticks around his group of guy friends.
"Kyle?" Mike scoffed. I looked back at Mike.
"What's wrong with kyle?" I asked.
Mike shrugged "I don't know, maybe it's the fact that he's not using his brains for the right thing. He's always getting into trouble."
I shrugged "let's just leave him alone."
We continued walking until we finally reached the Cafeteria, Mike and I both got oursleves some snacks and looked around for a table to sit in.
"The Caf is too full once again." Mike groaned.
I saw a couple of girls waving at me and realized that it was just Hayley and the others.
"Over here!" Dani said.
I pointed out to them and looked at Mike "how about there?" Mike just shrugged and started walking towards them.
We finally sat down and I smiled "thanks girls."
"No problem Jam!" Natasha said cheerfully.
I smiled at the girls one last time before starting on my food. I was munching my sandwich when Kyle and he friends walked in, all sweaty and tired from playing basketball.
He was with his other friends like Ryan, Khalil and Luis. He looked around then awkwardly, his eyes landed on mine. I turned away and continued munching on my sandwich.
"Uhm Jam? Did you do anything to piss off Kyle?" Rina asked, getting me worried.
I looked at her "no. Why?" I asked nervously. Kyle's a pretty big guy around here, you mess with him, you mess with half of the school.
"Well, he's looking at you right now." Eleanor answered for Rina.
I gulped "Oh." I looked at Mike who was too busy with his food.
Mike noticed me looking at him and said "don't worry about them jam, I'm here. Plus your girls are here. if Kyle messes with you, we'll mess with him."
I smiled "thanks." and continued eating my food, hoping that sooner or later Kyle would leave.
I felt someone hit me gently and when I looked, it was Kyle. I would have gagged on my food if I was dumb enough. I closed my eyes, hoping that his hits won't be as painful.
"Sorry." Kyle said, before walking off.
I stood there, gaping at him. Kyle Smith. Saying sorry. To me?
"Did Kyle just say sorry?" Hayley asked, mirroring my expression.
I nodded slowly.
"He never says sorry!" Mike exclaimed, he was pretty surprised too at the sudden change of Kyle's attitude.
I shrugged and tried to brush it off "maybe he was just feeling different today."
"maybe" they all said, simultaneously and shrugging.
First Kyle smith looks at me, then says sorry. I've known him for two years and he has never said a single word to me until this very day.
I just bit my sandwich, hoping that this uncanny feeling will disappear.
