Kyle's POV
"are you sure this will work?" I asked Dani.
She nodded while I uneasily started strumming the guitar once more. "See? You sound okay." Dani said.
"But Jam's better at playing the guitar. He's probably an expert on it. What if he thinks I'm a loser and that I'ma disgrace to the worl od music or something?" I said getting even nervous. Today is gonna be the day that Jam will hopefully be mine.
"Jam's a sucker for people whoplays the guitar but you what he find even more adorable?"
"what?" I asked.
"Guys who TRY to play the guitar. Trust me, I think this will work. Plus if he thinks you're not that good, he'll offer to teach you and you'll start having those late nights at his house, where you try to play the guitar but the only thing you want to play with is his..."
"Okay, okay I get it." I said while blushing, not wanting dirty thoughts in my head right now.
"So lunch time at the back of the school today okay?" Dani said and I just nodded.
The bell rang and Dani quickly grabbed her bag and ran off "see you at class!" she shouted at me, nearly hitting a person.
"wait! Why can't you just wait for me!?" I shouted.
"That would looks suspicious wouldn't it?" Dani said before turning to a corner and disappearing for good.
I groaned as I looked at the guitar in my left hand and my books on the floor. Hmmm, what's more important? Impressing Jam or that quiz in Biology?
Yep. Definitely impressing Jam. I could easily make up for that quiz in Biology. I grabbed my books and stuffed in clumsily in my bag while grabbing the guitar and running towards the roof where it's always almost empty.
Thankfully, when I got there, there were only two people cuddling against each other.
"Hey Ryan!" I said, knowing the he would skip class too.
"Hey Ena." I said, looking at the girl beside him, aka Aena Volt, a senior and Ryan's ex-girlfriend. I eyed his arm around her shoulders.
"So, you guys back together?" I asked smiling at the both of them.
"yeah." Ena was the one who answered.
"That's great!" I said, patting Ryan's back and giving Ena a small smile.
"why do you have a guitar?" Ryan asked me, eyeing my borother's guitar.
I just blushed and said "I'm trying to practice."
"Practice for what?" Ena asked.
"Uhm...for fun." I lied while trying to avoid Ryan's gaze.
"Kyle, I've known you since the first grade and I know you have no interest in music whatsoever." Ryan said, raising an eyebrow.
I gulped because it's true. It's not that I don't like music, it's just that I never gave much thought of it. Unlike Jam. To be honest, I always thought people who likes music so much was weird, but I realized, I was the weird one.
"Maybe I changed." I said, lying once again.
"Ooooh, are you gonna serenade someone?" Ena asked. I looked at Ryan as he realized what I was planning to do.
