Jam's POV

"Great job today guys, and Mac, it's finally nice to see you participating in class." Ms. Johnson said, looking at me.

I just smiled at her. To be honest, the only reason why I played Tug Of War with them is because it requires everybody's effort. If I loosen it up, no one would really notice. I guess Tug Of War is my favorite activity now.

"Since you did a good job, I'm giving you the task to clean and lock the gym." Ms. Johnson said proudly like cleaning and locking the gym is the best thing you can give to someone in the world.

I just sighed to myself and forced myself to smile at her. "Don't worry Reese and our very own champion, Smith will help you." Ms. Johnson said.

Luis and Kyle slolwy walked towards me.

As soon as everybody left we started putting the equipments back in the storage room and throwing empty water bottles into the trash can.

"Even the girls are a mess." Luis said, picking up empty water bottles form the girls' side of the court. I looked at Kyle and he was humming happily to himself and sweeping the floor.

"Seeing all these water bottles are making me thirsty, I'll go grab a drink first." Luis said as he threw another bottle.

I nodded and Kyle didn't seem to pay attention.

Luis closed the door, leaving me alone with Kyle. I picked up a few more bottles and sat on one of the bleachers. Kyle finally snapped back to reality and looked at me "Oh hey" he said.

I smiled "hey, sorry I didn't come to the celebration party. I had to go home already." I said, apologizing.

Kyle chuckled "don't worry, it's alright. But you better promise that next time there's a party, you'll attend it." He said. I smiled shyly "Yeah I will. Maybe."

Kyle stuck his tongue out "No Maybes or buts. You will come even if it takes walking all the way to your house and dragging you in the party."

"Alright fine but as long as it's you who'll drag me to the party, not anyone else" I said. I blushed afterwards as I realized that was a flirty statement.

Kyle smirked a bit and started flirting too "if you say so, just don't be surprised when you find me waiting outside your door." he winked.

"You don't have to wait actually. You can just come in." I said, before I could think. I mentally face palmed myself. What's wrong with me?

Kyle blushed a bit and then chuckled, I chuckled too to ease off the awkwardness.

Kyle looked around "I think the gym is pretty clean already. And screw Luis, he left without us." I laughed a bit and stood up and walked towards the door along with Kyle.

I tried topush the door but it wouldn't budge. I pushed it again. Still no.

"Let me try." Kyle said. I moved out of the way and watched him try to push the door.

"I think it's locked." he said after a hundred tries to open the door.

"Do you have the key?" I asked, starting to panic. Kyle looked at me with so much worry on his face "No. It's with Luis."

I groaned and sat on the floor "So I guess we're stuck."

Kyle sighed as he sat down beside me "I guess so too."

We just sat there in awkward silence.

"So....how are you?" Kyle awkwardly asked to break the silence.
