Kyle's POV
"do you think Ryan's trying to recruit July?" Jam asked me.
"No I think July's trying to recruit Ryan" I answered simply, getting a glare from Jam.
"don't be rude!" Jam said.
"like you're not! You keep insulting and insisting that Ryan likes me but he doesn't!" I said.
"Ryan hates me!" Jam said.
"So does July! Can't you see!?" I answered but this time with more frustration in my voice.
"Well,
"guys?" Mike said, interrupting us. I was brought back to reality and saw five scared girls in the corner.
"Please don't fight" Dani said quietly while the others agreed. I sighed as I finally realized that Jam and I actually had a heated argument.
"I-I'm sorry" I stuttered, looking at the floor and surprising myself because I was never the first to say sorry, but hurting Jam is the worst possible thing that I can do.
"I'm really sorry" I said once again.
"It's okay baby, I'm sorry too. Let's just forget about it okay?" Jam said. I smiled at him and at the way he called me baby.
"Hey guys!" July cheerfully said, appearing out of nowhere without Ryan.
"Hey July" I said, faking a smile and my happy attitude. If Jam and I are gonna fight because of her, maube it's time to change some of my old ways just for him.
"Hey Kyle" she smiled, just as fake as me.
"Let's just eat" Hayley said, sensing the tension in the air. I nodded and we walked towards the the Cafeteria.
"Hey Kyle, why didn't you tell me you and Jam are together?" July said, not bothering to lessen the volume of her voice.
I frantically looked around and made sure that no one heard us. "What's wrong with you?" I hissed at her "don't be too loud!"
"Oh I'm sorry" she said, trying to look innocent "why are you so ashamed?"
"because he's Kyle Smith. He's one of the most popular boys in this school. If people find out he's gay. He's done" Natasha said as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"He is? Oh so if it spreads, will you guys break up?" July said and it made me stop on my track as Jam continued walking.
"If this spreads, I will kill you and no I will not break up with Jam" I said under my breath, glaring at her and making sure Jam didn't hear us.
She glared at me too but then as soon as Jam turned around to look at us, we both smiled at him and acted like we were best friends.
I gave one last glare before walking quickly to Jam's side and making sure I was incredibly close to him.
The rest of the day passed by with me and July giving each other bad looks behind Jam's back.
Basketball practice came and Jam said he had some business to attend to, after making sure that it doesn't involve July and convincing myself that an over attached and clingy boyfriend is not attractive, I agreed to meet him on the roof in 2 hours.
"Hey bro" I said as I saw Ryan.
He looked at me and smiled "Hey Kyle"
"It's slightly sad that we don't get to hang out anymore" I said as we both walked into the locker rooms ro change.
"Yeah....well you're always with Jam and his friends anyway, so I don't think that's a problem for you" he said, trying to avoid my gaze.
"But you're always with Ena too. We should really have a boys' night out some day, maybe with Khalil and Luis. Or maybe just alone" I said, trying to cheer him up and honestly, I do miss hanging out with him.
"I think alone is nice. No home though, even though I know you are homo" he joked, laughing at his own words.
I couldn't help but laugh too, lately Ryan has been very down and seeing him smile really makes me feel better. I only love Jam and Jam alone but Ryan's the one who's been there for me since day one. Even when Khalil left me alone and tried to ruin me. He was there for me. Although Khalil and I are alright now, I can never look at him the same way.
Maybe if I was gay since I got here, I would probably date Ryan, IF he was also gay. But he's not.
"Oh Ry,which reminds me" I said, making him smile as I used his nickname "what did you and July talk about?"
"Oh nothing really. I just wanted to ask her a few questions but I was too shy to ask it in front of your other friends" he said.
I laughed "Oooh, don't tell me you've got a thing for her" I said, hoping deep inside that he does. If Ryan likes July and July likes Ryan, maybe July will back off Jam and everybody will live happily ever after.
"Nahh" was all Ryan said "I've got my eye on someone else"
"Ena?" I asked, looking at him as I tied the laces of my shoes.
He sighed and shook his head, "I thought we were gonna work out once again, but we're not. We're really lacking something" he said as he fixes his clothes and put them in his locker.
"So who is this lucky girl?" I asked, nudging him slightly.
Ryan hesitated at first but as he opened his mouth, our coach blew his whistle and if we're not out in 30 seconds we're dead.
"I'll tell you later" Ryan said as we both ran towards the court.
But I waited later and he never told me who his special someone was.
Ryan's POV
I slowly walked passed by the living room towards my bedroom, hoping that my sister and mother won't notice me, but sadly they did.
"Ryan baby, is that you?" My mother called out. I sighed and said "yes"
"Oh good, why don't you try and have a sister-brother talk with Jo over here" she said, smiling and pulling my sister closer.
"what for?" I whined.
"Because she's gonna be a transferee in your school tomorrow!" my mom said, glaring at me. I sighed once more and looked at Jo.
"You'll do great. My classmate is a transferee and she was perfectly fine" I said, remembering July.
"Just find good friends and if anyone messes with you just tell me" I said and walked towards my room before my mom could say anything. As I closed the door to my room, I whispered to myself "and don't fall in love with the wrong guy"
