A seven year old Felix looked himself in the mirror, hovering his hand over the faint little dots located under his eyes. He honestly doesn't understand why he was getting these but he was told that it was normal for him. Freckles, that was what they called it.

Well, he would understand everything someday.

"Felix! Let's go now!" The young boy shrugged and went out of his room, going downstairs where his parents and siblings were waiting for him. A little Olivia was crossing her arms, puffing her cheeks angrily.

"You're so slow!"

"I'm sorry, okay?" Felix said, not really sincere about his apology.

"You—"

Their parents scolded the both of them and they immediately stopped. The family started to go their way to the neighbor's house. Apparently, the family who was living in the house across their's invited them to have a simple lunch together as a welcome to the place since they just moved in.

Once they were in front of the house, Mrs. Lee clicked on the doorbell and it wasn't too long until someone opened the door, revealing a woman who seemed to be in the same age as Mrs. Lee. The woman smiled brightly at them.

"Hello Mrs. Lee! I'm so glad you came with your family. Oh my, your kids looked just like you!" They were speaking in another language and Felix never felt so thankful that he forced himself to read the book that his mother gave him to learn Korean. Though he only got to learn some of the basic words, it was fine. Felix was satisfied.

"Hey, don't forget about me." Mr. Lee jokingly said. The three adults laughed and after that, they entered the house. As soon as Felix stepped inside, the delicious smell of food filled his nostrils. He found himself drooling because of it, and he couldn't wait to eat.

"Changbin, come on! They're here!" The woman, Mrs. Seo, called out and a boy came down the stairs, looking down to the floor. He walked to his mother and subtly hid behind her. Mrs. Lee cooed at the boy and pulled Felix to her.

"I'm sorry, he's always like this when we have guests coming over." Mrs. Seo said.

"Oh no, it's fine! Right, this is Felix. I'm sure these two would get along pretty well. Felix, say hi." Felix gulped and observed the boy. He was still looking down but he seemed to be nice.

"Hi! I'm Felix." Felix smiled, holding out his hand. The boy slowly looked up and stare at the hand before gradually taking it.

"Ch-Changbin."

"Nice to meet you, Changbin!"

"Nice to m-meet you too...Felix."

And that was how a friendship bloomed between the two boys.

———

Ever since the day Felix and Changbin met, they were inseparable. Felix would always go to the Seo's and play with Changbin. As Felix had gotten to know more about Changbin each time they hang out, he realized that the boy wasn't really shy as he thought.

He was playful and bright. A perfect match for Felix. Ehem. He also learned that Changbin was older than him by a year. I'm still taller though, Felix thought.

Felix was tying his shoes, getting ready to go to Changbin's house when Rachel approached him. The boy wasn't aware of his older sister's presence so Rachel decided to scare him, knowing that he get easily scared.

She steathily walked behind the unsuspecting boy and screamed as she put her hands on top of his shoulders. Felix flinched and screamed, scrambling away from Rachel.

"Scaredy cat!" Rachel laughed. Felix furrowed his eyebrows and pouted. He doesn't want to make Changbin wait so he'll have to deal with her later once he went back home. He was about to go out but Rachel stopped him.

"Wait!"

"What now?" Felix tapped his foot to the ground impatiently, watching Rachel picked something from her pocket. She took out a card and handed it to him.

"Give that to Chanmi. Tell her that I'm thanking her for giving me a poster of Cai Xukun! Kyaah~"

"Fine! Geez," The boy finally went outside and crossed the street, the card still in his hand. He came closer to the house and tip-toed to reach for the doorbell, clicking it once it was on his reach.

The door was opened by Chanmi. He gave the card to her, just like what his older sister instructed him to do.

"Rachel-noona said that she's thanking you for giving her that poster of Zai Chuk—"

"It's Cai Xukun. And please tell her that I'm also thanking her for giving me this unlimited Zhu Zhengting photo card! See 'ya! Oh, Changbin is in the garden." Felix nodded and marched to the garden. He saw Changbin looking at the flowers, his back facing him.

"Hyung!" Changbin turned around and waved. The younger boy approached him and glanced over the flowers.

"Wah, these flowers are so pretty!" They were indeed beautiful. Red, orange and yellow blended perfectly together, coloring each petals of the flowers. As the sun appeared, they bloomed even more. Felix had his mouth open, completely mesmerized at the scene.

Changbin saw his face and quietly laughed, closing the other boy's mouth by placing his hand at the bottom of his jaw and pushing upwards. The action made Felix jerked to reality.

"These are called Marigolds. My mother likes them, that's why she planted some here in our garden. Anyways, let's go upstairs." They raced to the room and plopped on the bed once they reached it. The two boys spend their day playing video games along with laughs and smiles. The night came and it was time for Felix to go home.

"Bye Changbin-hyung." Felix said while frowning.

"Wait. Felix, do you want to have a sleep over here?"
