-Michael's point of view-
It felt weird, having had so long to feel true remorse and guilt for what I had done only now. Of course, there were times when I would feel a pang of guilt, for example just before the three boys discovered my secret, but nothing so heart wrenching I wanted to push myself off a cliff.
"Do you mean that?" Luke asked, pulling away from our hug. He looked into my eyes, as if looking for the truth in them.
I hesitated. "Yes."
Luke of course believed my words, which this time were true, however Calum and Ashton still seemed uncertain. "Prove it," Ashton said.
"You want proof?" I questioned, a grin tugging at my lips. "Verbal or physical?"
"Physical." Calum interrupted quickly.
As if by demand, I moved my hand towards Calum and snaked it around his waist. "This physical?"
The tension in the bedroom grew heavy: the four of us were squeezed onto my single bed, sweating and in need of even closer contact. "A little more." Calum spoke impatiently.
Luke, being what I thought was protective, jumped towards the scene between Calum and me. Instead of moving onto me however, he snaked himself around Calum. Luke sat on Calum's lap as his chin rested on my own shoulder. "What's going on?" Ashton spoke up. He was sat in the middle of us, and it felt like a heated game of twister.
"You can join if you like." Calum's sudden confidence was attractive - but I couldn't think that way. I was with Luke.
"Calum," Luke said as if reading my thoughts, "I like this confidence in you." Luke turned towards me, as I now held a confused expression. "You don't mind if I-"
Aroused, I nodded quickly. Luke took his chin off of my shoulder so that he could get closer to Calum. Then, he pecked his cheek, earning a blush from the Kiwi boy. "Just kiss on the lips already." I rolled my eyes. Calum made the first move, attaching his lips to the blonde's. As unbelievable as it sounded, the sight of my current and ex boyfriends kissing was enjoyable.
"Michael, kiss Ashton." Luke said between kisses with Calum. I obeyed, leaning towards my other ex.
"I never said I forgave him-" Ashton was cut off by my lips. Despite the long time since our lips met, they collided together perfectly. It was evident that Ashton enjoyed the kiss as much as I did due to his moan. "Because he's-"
"A good kisser?" I said confidently.
"I'm sure you're not the best kisser." Ashton huffed, blushing.
Calum proved his boldness once again by climbing over Luke and onto Ashton. I couldn't quite comprehend what I was watching; was this a show for me? It was as if the three were waiting for this moment. "Try me, then." Calum spoke.
Ashton, of course, lunged towards Calum almost desperately. They kissed passionately for what I counted five seconds, then pulled away out of breath. "Calum's a better kisser."
"Right," I said, "Luke, please tell me I'm better at kissing than Calum."
Luke hesitated. "Michael, you're the best kiss I've ever had."
**
That evening was one significantly different to every other I had over the past few weeks: it was as if I was mentally used to having someone in that hotel room angry with me. However, that evening it was not the case. It was nearly funny how the four of us seemed perfectly content with each other, considering nothing was anywhere near being fixed.
Fans were angry with with me, because who wouldn't? Tabloids continuing to spread rumours about Luke and me. It seemed never-ending - but for one reason I felt partially happy about that.
There was always someone angry with me.
Be it my band members or not. Of course I was guilt-ridden, but I was not furious with myself. It felt as if if no one was angry with me, either that or oblivious to my actions, I would carry on until it made a large impact. Because no one really changes.
Not saying a word, I walked into the bathroom. Of course, the moment I was supposedly out of earshot, I was spoken about. "Do you think Michael is really sorry?" Ashton said.
"Yes, he is." Luke's voice spoke up, supporting me.
"Just because he's sorry doesn't stop the fact he cheated on us all." I could practically hear Ashton frowning. Yet the boy had a point.
"Does that mean he'll do it again though?" Calum didn't sound angry, but curious.
"Who knows."
