-Michael's point of view-
Ashton, since he discovered I was a cheat, has always done his best to anger me. And it always worked. Telling Luke there's a possibility I may cheat again pushed me over the edge. He had no right.
Maybe it was because of the dramatic time and all of the different emotions I was feeling, but I snapped: I burst through the door of the bathroom and approached the living room where the three boys sat, surprised expressions on their faces due to my furious one.
"Don't you dare assume things of me, Ashton. You have no right."
Ashton looked confused, but still managed to push me further. "I have no right? Stop talking shit, Michael."
"Shut up." I growled. "Take back what you said. I'm not going to cheat again."
"I never technically said you would." Ashton spoke nonchalantly, sinking deeper into the hotel sofa.
"You want to engrave it into Luke's mind that I'll forever be undeserving," I pointed towards my boyfriend, "I'm getting better. And anyway, I wouldn't want to cheat with you again. Your prick attitude put me off."
Luke cooed as if he were on a school playground ready for a fight. If he wants a fight, I'll give him one. "Calum get some popcorn." He said. It annoyed me that Luke wasn't supporting me, but during fights regarding Ashton he never did.
"Look, Michael," Ashton spoke calmly, which only angered me more. "I've always been told that once a cheater always a cheater. Face it, you can't control yourself, can you?"
Ashton had a point, which I would never admit to. The pure fact that what Ashton was saying was true was upsetting. What if I do lose control again? Luke's been through enough of my commitment issues, I would surely lose him if it ever happened again. "I'm not. I won't. I love Luke too much." I spoke in monotone.
"And now you're lying." Calum said, "well apart from the love bit."
We had worked so hard to build this peace between the band, and now we were back to fighting. It was true: things don't truly change. And that included me. "Luke," I was desperate for someone to be on my side. Even if I was wrong.
Luke looked up from where he sat. "What?" The blonde snapped. I didn't know which part of the argument now ruined his mood, but it was unlikely he would go back to his good one.
"I'm sorry if I do ever cheat again."
"Are you serious?" Luke asked, surprised I even doubted myself.
Reluctantly, I nodded. "I don't want to, but what if one day I get drunk and slip up? What if we have a fight and I want to get back at you? Ashton's right; I can't promise something I'm not sure about." I sighed, waiting for Luke to either explode or break up with me.
To my surprise, he did neither. "It's okay, Michael. You're only human. Besides, it's not like I haven't slipped up before."
"What do you mean?" I pushed.
Luke blushed and looked towards the floor, refusing to speak. I looked towards Calum and Ashton for answers, but they shrugged. "It-"
"Tell me." My anger started to rise again.
"It was me who called the police when you fought Ashton on stage."
**
To say I was surprised was an understatement. It now all made sense to why Ashton wasn't arrested as well: Luke blamed it all on me.
Luke always seemed like the 'perfect' one; he never cheated, well not to my knowledge, and he never really picked fights. Unlike Ashton. The difference between Luke and Calum was that it was easier for Calum to get angry with me, however most things I would do to Luke turned him on. Surprisingly, this bad quality or 'slip up' gave Luke and me an even stronger connection. Now we both had faults.
It took hours for that to sink in, but when it did, I felt a lot happier than I had in a long time. If Luke could forgive me, I could forgive him. "Luke, let me in." I knocked on his bedroom door.
"You're not going to shout at me like you do with Ashton, are you?" Luke mumbled on the other side.
"No. Let me in."
Seconds later the door opened revealing a tired looking Luke. He smiled, which I returned. "I'm sorry about, you know."
"I'm sorry too. You did what you thought was best, and anyway, now we're kind of equal."
"We're nowhere near equal." Luke jokingly scoffed, "you cheated on me with two other boys."
"Okay," I laughed awkwardly, "do you want to make it equal? You can kick me in my balls or something."
Luke grinned. "That would be nice, but I'd rather do something else to them."
