Elle's POV

June 22, 2013

I am going to get married to my best friend, just one more day till I become Mrs. Elle Hall. I'm only a few weeks pregnant, I'm not even a month yet. "Elle can you come to the stairs," Mrs. Hall my mother in law said kindly. I left the balcony that led into our room, the one I moved into a few years ago. I opened the door and made it to the stairs, when I didn't see Marisol I went down the stairs, into the foyer. "Marisol?" The house was quiet.

The house was so quiet that you could hear the rolling waves. I stood still as I got that innate feeling that someone was behind me. Turning around too slow I was pushed down to the ground, I was trapped in a black bag.

My body folded around and left me panicked in the bag. "Help!" I screamed but once my head hit something hard I fell unconscious.

"Wake up dear," Groggily my eyes opened to a dim lit hotel room, I was sprawled out on the bed. I sit up quickly, ignoring the throbbing head ache. "What do you want? Where is Marisol?" I asked the man who sat in the chair across from me against the wall.

"I want nothing to do with you, but Marisol wanted me to tell you to leave Alex. You aren't worth his status and would only bring dishonor to his reputation."

I rolled my eyes irritated was this another stunt of hers, "I've heard Marisol's attempts to get rid of me and I'm not going anywhere. It would take a lot more for her to make me leave." I state firmly, "I love her son and Alex loves me, and we are going to raise this baby together."

There was a silence, and I look at the man with tanned skin and black styled hair. "What's your name? Did she put you up to this? Did she black mail you into this. You should know you can walk away from her. She's nothing without you." I state and he stares at me.

The door opens...

"I'm glad you mentioned the sweet baby growing inside of you..." Marisol's voice filled the room. She was holding a magnum 22 pistol, I gulped. Her words caused even greater fear when she mentioned the baby. "What have I ever done to you Marisol? All I never done was love your son to the ends of this Earth!"

"There's too many things I don't like about you, for one you are a runaway. You had no stable home from the age of 15 years old. You have a record, bounced around in foster care. Burned down a house, the list goes on Elle. I don't trust you! I'm here to rid the problem." I covered my stomach.

"I won't let you hurt our baby!"

She clicks the gun, and a surge of adrenaline rushed in my body as I didn't look fearful but ready for whatever she had up her sleeve. "It's great you don't look scared my dear."

"You would shoot your only grandchild?" I screamed at her not caring about the gun at this point. I got off the bed; she held the gun up with shaking hands. "Shot me Marisol. I would have nothing to lose besides being the daughter of a farmer and being in love with this baby and your son."

"Shut up!"

I walk right to the barrel and press my head against the cold metal, "Pull the trigger Marisol." I close my eyes. If I was going to leave this Earth I would want to leave it quick and painless. I knew that even in death I would still hold love for this child and Alex. She knew it too.

This must be the end I thought once I felt the warmth of the metal. I exhaled calmly before...

I'm shoved to the side as the bang goes off, a pain surged through my arm as I see the man push me out of the way. But I blocked the shot that would've went into his spinal cord.
