I remember it like it was just yesterday. I was on my way home passing by the Cherry blossom park. "Today is gloomy" I uttered to myself and I wasn't wrong as I saw you're hurt face crying in the bench nearby, the expression you make, it breaks my heart. I hesitated to go near you but there's this strange feeling that pulls me to you like it's telling me "Hey she needs help, go help her" So I did I went to you as you look up to me with tearful eyes, I can see how hurt you were. I sat beside you and quietly waited for the right moment to talk to you.

"What happened?" I asked, you ignored me and we were silent for a minute. " I'm willing to listen to what you have to say" I said "Why?" she said "I feel like a girl like you should be smiling instead of crying..." I said, we were silent again but after some time she looked at me and I just looked at her and gave her a thumbs up gesture with a smile. she then stared at the ground "Wasn't I enough? I gave him everything I have and for what? For him to cheat on me? WHY!" I sat there silent as I was never good at advice but I told her "Maybe you two weren't really destined for each other, I mean if he really loved you he wouldn't think of cheating on you," "Maybe...." "Maybe find someone better? someone who will treat you like you're the most precious thing in the world" "Well I'm done with him[sobs] but, where can I find a person better than him" at that moment I didn't know what to say.

After that day I always see her at that same spot staring blankly and I would always come to interrupt her silence and she didn't mind me and we became closer as the days of seeing her became more frequent. I learned about her hometown, Family, Friends, Interest, and Heartbreaks and every time we meet she seem to glow brightly in my eyes that it puts my heart to ease. But something wasn't right..... I feel being at her side cheering you up every day is already something good to have in life but something was amiss and came that day it was raining so hard. I was on my way going home, fate must be playing with me as the bus that left was the last one and there was none left to return. So I had to take the shortcut to the park and to my surprise, you were there crying again soaked, under a tree without an umbrella. I went to your side as always,

"Did he cheat on you again?" I asked she nods and began to burst in tears. It pains me to see you like this, "You know there's always a better person that cares for you more than anyone else" I said " I don't think someone like that exist in this world, I'm hopeless" "Not entirely there's still someone I know" I said "Who? Exactly would want a fool of a girl like me" she cries harder and I lifted her face up " Me you crybaby" There was a silence for a while "nice joke" "I love you" She stared at me with those beautiful eyes as I stared back "you're not joking right? no, you must be joki--" I hold her hand and grabbed her close and kissed her. "I love you no kidding" "I said she laughed a little "What's so funny?" I asked she kissed me back longer. "I love you too" We both smile at each other holding each other close as the rain falls atop us and as her tears began to go away just like the pain she suffered so did the gloomy rain.

"Sometimes those who really loves us are the ones we mostly ignore and label as best friends but wake up! there's no other person there who'll be there for you than them"
