"I doubt that." McCree turned back to Hayseed, pulling on the mask There was a face of a rotting human under it. It looked too disgusting to be pulled of completely. McCree gagged and backed away after putting the mask back on. "Oh god-" He gagged again, covering his mouth by reflex.

Hayseed went silent again. No glow in his eyes. Mako looked at him. He went back limp. Mako growled a bit. ''What do we do with him?'' Hanzo asked, as the sun was setting. "Take him to the basement." Reyes said. Hanzo nodded, starting to take the scarecrow down. "Don't take him down!" Mako ordered. "Just pull the pole out of the ground... "Hanzo nodded, and started taking the pole off the ground. McCree helped him, then carrying the pole with Reyes. Hanzo walked towards the basement.

They carried the scarecrow into the dark basement, where the scarecrow now sat. Silently. They set it down against a wall, just staring at it for a while. It didn't move at all. ''W-we should go... It is creepy.'' Hanzo said. McCree nodded. "Lets go." They left the basement, closing the trapdoor there. Mako stared at the trapdoor, pushing a large crate onto it. ''There. Let's head to bed.'' Hanzo said. McCree nodded, going to bed with Hanzo, Reyes going with Jack.

Mako stayed by the crate. It was silence for the most of the night. Mako had fallen asleep by the crate. He was waken on a loud noise. Mako stood up fastly, looking around. It came from the basement. Mako pushed the crate off of the trapdoor. He was met with eye to eye with Hayseed before he could drop down, Mako was just about to scream for help. The Hayseed rose his straw finger on to the spot where his lips were supposed to be. Mako trembled a bit and tried to pull the trapdoor closed. Hayseed blocked him from doing it. He tilted his head, his goggle eyes glowing brightly.

Mako back away, breathing quickly. Hayseed followed him. Mako looked around frantically, trying to think of some way to get away. Hayseed walked closer and closer. Mako backed against the wall. He was panicking more by the second. Hayseed ran his straw hand against Makos cheek. Mako closed his eyes tightly, trying to get away from it but just ends up pushing himself against the wall. Hayseed tilted his head. ''Why... Afraid...?'' Mako just trembled, trying not to look at Hayseed. ''Why...? You... Too...? We... Used to... Play...'' "You're a monster.' Mako whispered. ''Mon-...'' Hayseed looked down. ''A monster...'' Mako heard footsteps getting farther.

Mako opened his eyes, looking at Hayseed. He was walking away, head hanging. It sounded like he was... crying? Mako just watched. He didn't want to get near it. It ran to the field. Mako just watched. He was scared of what it would do, but not scared enough to put himself in danger. Hayseed looked at him, looked at the corns growing there. He took one and then walked back to Mako. Mako looked at him. He looked like he had calmed down a bit. ''No... Monster...'' He said, offering the corn to him.

Mako grabbed the corn, looking at Hayseed cautiously. The corn was one of the ready corns on the field. "What the hell..?' Mako mumbled. Hayseed looked at him. ''Gift...'' Mako looked at him. ''No... Fe-'' There was a gun shot sound. Mako flinched, looking towards the sound. McCree was there, gun aimed upwards. Mako looked at him and then Hayseed. Hayseed looked like he was scared. "Jesse, don't shoot." Mako didn't know what he was saying. ''Why not? He was going to attack you!'' Jesse said, aiming his gun on Hayseed. Mako held up the corn. "With this?" Jesse looked at the corn. ''Why did he give you a corn?!'' "It said it was a gift. I don't fucking know!''

Hayseed looked down, but then ran towards Jesse. Mako grabbed his belt quickly to stop him. Hayseed looked at Mako. ''Good! Hold him still!'' Jesse said, aiming his gun. Mako pulled Hayseed behind him. "I said don't shoot." Jesse growled. Hayseed hid behind Mako. He was trembling. Mako looked at him, letting go of his belt. "We want him alive, right?" Mako asked. Jesse growled. ''Why would we?'' "So it can explain what happened to Jamie."

Jesse nodded. ''I suppose ya are right.'' Mako looked at Hayseed, stepping away from it. Hayseed soon fell down as a normal scarecrow. "What the hell...?" ''I guess it ran out of juice. Lets take him back to the basement.'' McCree said. Mako nodded, picking up the scarecrow. It was bit heavy. Mako carried it into the basement. "Jesse?" ''Ye?'' Jesse asked. "I think I'm going to stay in there. To get info." Mako said. He looked unsure, but wouldn't take no for an answer.

"When I want to come out, I'll knock three times. If I knock two times, block the trapdoor."Jesse nodded. ''Alright.'' Mako climbed into the basement, setting Hayseed down. His eyes glowed just slightly. Mako backed off against the wall. "Close it Jesse" Jesse closed the door. Mako stood there, watching the scarecrow. It sat up, looking at Mako. Mako looked back at it. It looked at him silently. "What are you...?" Mako asked quietly. ''Jamie...'' The scarecrow answered. "I saw that rotting face under your mask." ''Jamie...'' He said. "That wasn't Jamie." Mako argued. ''Mako... It is me...'' "How could you be Jamie?" Mako asked. "Jamie isn't here anymore, he hasn't for the last three years! He left me behind." ''Mako... I was... Killed... Stuffed in here... Stuffed with... straws...'' Mako looked at the scarecrow. "Prove it. Prove it to me that you're not pretending." Hayseed took his hands on his hood, ready to pull it up. Mako watched quietly. He was scared, but he had to know.
