Homerun In Atlanta (Dansby Swanson)

Chapter 12

I stood there shocked looking at my brother Adam who had just walked in on Dansby and I. I look at Dansby before looking back at Adam trying to find the words to say. "So are you going to tell me what the fuck is going on here?"

"Adam look I can explain." Dansby said as Adam gave him a death look.

"You I'll deal with later. I mean come on man out of all the girls out there that you can be with. You had to pick MY little sister." Adam exclaims as I put my hand on Dansby's shoulder.

"Adam stop! If you're going to be pissed off at Dansby you might as well be pissed at me too!" I spoke up moving closer to Adam. I turned my head in the direction of the laughter I heard just to see my three other brothers walk in.

"Woah what's going on in here?" I took a deep breathe in at Kris's question before turning my attention back to Adam.

"How long?" Adam asked clearing his throat eyes going back and forth between myself and Dansby.

I sighed and cleared my throat before responding. "Two months." I watched as Adam shook his head and stormed off. "Adam, Adam wait!" I quickly ran out of the room to follow him. "Adam can we just talk the two of us? Adam, Adam stop!" I finally catch up to him grabbing his arm and getting him to face me.

"Two months you've been sleeping with him or doing what ever with him and you couldn't even tell me for two months!" Adam starts as I let go of his arm.

"I was going to tell you. I was, it's just it was never a thing." I say as he gives me a look. "The night I went out drinking with the girls is the first night that I met him, I had way to much to drink and it just happened."

"I still don't understand how it is not a thing. If your kissing and sleeping together its definitely a thing." Adam says getting closer to me.

"It was a rebound thing. We both agreed to it, but it turned into more. I love him Adam and he loves me." I say as I grab Adam's arm once again. "I love that you are so protective of me. I love that Kris, Brock, and Will are protective of me, hell I love that Trea, Scooter, and Bryce are protective. Especially Bryce, cause no offense he's the most intimidating out of all of you." I laugh as Adam smiles at my comment. "But this is the one thing you don't need to protect me from."

Adam nods as he wraps his arms around me in a hug. We start to walk only to be met by Dansby and my brothers. "If you hurt her in anyway, I will personally kick your ass and I'll have backup."

I walk up to Dansby as he puts an arm around me. "Trust me I'm not going to hurt her." I smile as he kisses the top of my head.

FOUR MONTHS LATER
"Woah easy Bagheera." I say pulling on his reigns. "Good boy." patting his neck I look down. "And good girl Xena for keeping up with us." I hop off of Bagheera and pat her head. "Come on let's get his tack off and let's get you something to drink."

As I began walking back up to the barn Xena started to bark. Looking up the driveway I noticed Dansby's truck pulling in. I wave before making my way inside the barn and started taking off Bagheera's tack. I began brushing him when I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. "I'm kinda busy."

"Really I didn't notice." I laugh I feel him smile against me. "I have something I need to show you." I gave Dansby a look before taking his hand and following him back to his truck. "Just stay here."

I watched as he opened his truck door before pulling out a puppy and holding it. "Dansby is that what I think it is?" I say as I quickly make my way towards him before grabbing the puppy from him.

"Happy early birthday babe." he says before kissing me on my cheek. "Charlie's cousin breeds Saluki's and I knew you said you loved the one you had. Not to mention Xena needed a new friend." I smile at him as I hug the puppy.

"I love her." I look at him before kissing him. These are moments I wish that could stay perfect, if only that's what happened.

BRAVES GAME
"Woah, woah look at you supporting your guy." I laugh as I show my Swanson jersey to the girls before I take my seat. "You two are seriously the cutest couple ever."

I laugh as I look down at my phone. "I still can't believe we've been together for four months."

"I can't believe that it started as a rebound thing." Sarah says.

"Me either." I say as I smile when I finally spot him warming up on the field. That's when I heard a woman speak up.

"So you're dating Dansby Swanson?" I look at the woman before responding.

"Yeah I am we've been together for a few months now." I say before turning my attention back to the field.

"Oh so you must be Dayla Lynch." I nodd my head at the woman.

"Yeah and who are you?" I ask back looking at her.

I watch as she smirks at me before responding, "I'm Amber Hanson. I'm Dansby's fiancee."

And that's when I felt my perfect world collapse on top of me.
