Once Jimin was out of the hospital, all communication with Jungkook ceased. Everything was back to normal... except that now the police had been brought into the situation, Jimin couldn't go home.
He knew his parents were going to win the court case and he knew they were going to be angry with him for causing so much trouble. He shouldn't have gone to school that day but who was he kidding, Jimin wanted to find a reason to live. For a split second, it looked as though Jungkook had given that to him. Now he was gone.
Jimin was in Chemistry the morning that he was called out of class. That's what led him to the awkward predicament of sitting across a table from an officer and a foreign man who only identified himself as 'Adrien from social care'.
"Jimin, do you know why you're here?" Asked the rather large social worker, Jimin just shook his head.
"You're here because we've got some concerns about what's been going on at home, Alright?"
The police officer then began to speak, explaining the significance of a 'video interview' should he want to take the situation further.
Adrien cut in, probably seeing Jimin's discomfort, "Would you like someone in here with you, Jimin? A family member, a member of staff?"
"My friend, Jungkook, please."
Jungkook was battling to stay awake in his English class when he was called out of his lesson. He was brought up to a room at the highest point in the school without explanation. Opening the door, he saw Jimin's slumped over form.
"Jungkook? Hello its nice to meet you, My name's Adrien and this is officer Kim," Jungkook just nodded.
"I assume you know Jimin's situation?" Spoke officer Kim, not looking up at him as he was occupied with writing something in his note book. Jungkook let his eyes fall to Jimin.
Jungkook finally sat beside the now shaking boy and pulled him close, letting him hide his face.
Jimin began to sob quietly into Jungkook's jumper but as the room was silent otherwise, it wasn't quiet enough not to draw attention.
"Jimin, we just need you to explain your version of events and we can decide what to do from there, okay?" The officer spoke, kinder now.
Jimin didn't speak, just buried himself deeper into Jungkook.
It was silent and then,
"I saw him burning himself in the bathroom."
The shock from everyone else in the room was not enough to deter Jungkook from continuing,
"And then he disappeared for just over a week, when I saw him I demanded to go home with him and I heard..." Jungkook choked slightly as he too began to cry.
"I heard his dad... and he... Jiminnie show them what that bastard did to you."
