A/N- Hi! So, the last chapter was kind of rushed and a little bit sucky, but whatever. Don't get the wrong impression from the ending! ;)

Y/n's POV:
What on earth is he thinking?! My mind screams as I rush up to my dorm to find my most presentable pajamas. Presentable pajamas? There's such a thing? I shake my head while throwing things out of my trunk. I find a pair of black leggings, an emerald green long sleeved crop top, and my black robe. I put them on, then rush back downstairs to his dorm. Rather than knocking, I walk right in to see Draco sitting on his bed with with a couple of folded blankets and a small box in his hands. However, the second he sees me, he stows the box in the pocket of his pajama pants. He gives me a lopsided smile while standing from his spot.
"What are we doing, Draco?" I ask suspiciously.
"I figured tonight was a perfect night for a walk by the lake, don't you think?" he replies. A smirk graces his elegant visage and I can't help but grin back.
"I think that sounds wonderful." He holds out an arm for me to take before we step swiftly out of the common room and out of the castle.

Draco's POV:
The waters of the black lake lay almost still, for there was little wind, and the creatures more often lurked in it's depths. The moons light glittered on the surface, reflecting onto our faces, and making Y/n's beautiful features even more defined.
"Why are we doing this exactly?" she asks, still looking out at the lake. Should I tell her? I could, right there, or even later in the night. It was so simple, yet horribly complicated all at the same time.
"I just wanted to talk with you," I reply simply. Still, my mind is having a battle of its own. She seems to read my expressions because a concerned look falls on her face.
"Is everything alright?" she questions, laying a hand gently on my bicep. I flinch slightly, it being my left arm she had touched, but don't pull away like I would others.
"Everything is fine, darling," I say, not looking at her. "Let's just sit, yeah?" Without waiting for an answer, which I knew I wouldn't get, I spread out the blanket onto the soft grass beneath us, then grab her hand and fall. She giggles slightly before speaking.
"No matter how happy I am being here, I can't help but think how much trouble we'd be in if we got caught out here." she says quietly and I just chuckle.
"You've never really been one for rules, why's now any different?" I muse. She lets out a short laugh while shaking her head.
"I suppose you have a point. You usually care about rules, though. Aren't you worried about being caught?" she asks, still smiling. I wave my hand through the air as though brushing the question off.
"Of course not. A little risk never hurt anyone," I reply dismissively. She grins more before laying down beside me. We stay in comfortable silence for a while, watching the lake, and enjoying each other's presence before she turns her head to face me.
"Is there anything you wanted to talk about specifically?" she asks in a gentle tone. I nearly flinch. I'm going to tell her. I told myself I would tell her. Still, it's no surprise that I hesitated.
"I wanted to ask you a, er, serious question," I start. She nods and gestures for me to continue. "How do you feel about me?" Her expression shows she is slightly shocked by the bluntness of my words, but she then starts to think. Not for long, though.
"I think... that I care very deeply for you," she answers, staring directly into my eyes. Her green orbs reflect trust and adoration; emotions I had only wished to obtain from her.
"How would you feel if I said I love you?" I blurt, not as cautiously as I had planned. Her face goes blank, and I worry I've messed up. "I won't, if you don't want me to—" I was cut off by her lips slamming onto mine. After a moment, she pulls away, grinning brightly.
"I'd like that," she whispers.
"I love you," I say in a hushed voice.
"I love you too."

I have to tell her...
