Bucket List #847 : Before I die, I want to watch a broadway performance.
"Danielle? Danielle, wake up..." A voice crept into my head. I slowly opened my eyes to see a pair of hazel eyes staring back at me. A smile crept onto Vincent's face when he saw me open my eyes. I groaned, "What time is it?"
"Time for you to brush your teeth." Vincent said, backing away. I rolled my eyes, "You're awful."
"And so is your breath."
I sat up and pain instantly jolted through my arm, "Fudge."
Vincent came back to my bed, "Let me see your arm."
I held out my arm towards him and he looked at it. I took a peek and noticed the huge bruise that had formed.
"We need to get this checked out." Vincent said, letting my arm back down, slowly. I groaned, "Is that really necessary?"
"This could be really bad. Of course its necessary."
----
"Vincent, sweetie.. What are you doing here? You don't have an appointment until... next month." The receptionist said. Vincent smiled, his award winning smile at her, "I called Jenny for an appointment for my friend here. I had a..." He gulped, "An incident. Anyways, I accidently hurt my friend here, Danielle. And I want to check her arm."
I smiled at the lady as she sized me up.
"I'll call Jenny right away. Have a seat."
"Thanks, Rebecca."
Vincent and I sat down on the light blue chairs that faced a small flat screen. I turned to Vincent, "Do you just call everyone by their first name?"
He smiled, "Why not?"
"It's not very proper." I said, making Vincent laugh.
"Oh geez. Loosen up a bit." He winked over at him as I groaned.
"Danielle.. we're ready for you. Lets go to the xray room." A nurse said, popping her head out. I got up and looked over at Vincent, "Are you coming?"
"If you want." He said, looking up at me. I nodded and he got up, following me towards the door that the nurse was holding open for me.

"And severely bruised. And sprained. We can easily put this in a sling and I'll just prescribe some rest and medicine." Dr. Rosario , Vincent's doctor - Jenny- said.
"So, its not broken or anything?" Vincent asked from the chair in the corner. The doctor shook her head, "She's perfect. But I was hoping to take some blood tests."
My heart started thumping... I couldn't do it. If she took blood tests, she'd find out I had cancer and try to get more tests done on me and try to force me to do some chemo. And Vincent... I don't even know if he remembered what I told him the other day. I was hoping he did so I wouldn't have to repeat myself.
"Uhm.. I have to go. Maybe next week?" I said, getting up. The doctor looked from Vincent to me. I looked over at Vincent, pleading him to get up, which he did. He waved at the doctor and ran to keep up with me, "DANIELLE, WAIT UP."
I pushed the door that led me outside and instantly felt the hot sun hit my face. I stood there, soaking it in when I suddenly felt Vincent's cold hands on me. He spun me around, keeping his hands on my shoulders, "Whats wrong?"
I choked back the tears and looked down, "It's nothing." I looked back up at his hazel eyes, that wondered what the eff could possibly be wrong with me. I smiled at him, "C'mon, we have something to cross off of my list."
