Franca phone beeped alerting her that it was morning. She wondered who was texting her in the early hours of the day. She flipped the cover up to reveal the text. It was from Sam. The conversation went like this:
Sam: "Good morning. How are you? Hope you got home alright last night"
Franca: "Morning, to you too. I did, thanks for asking"
Sam: "No worries. I know we only met yesterday but I was wondering if you would like to have coffee with me. I know a great place we could go to"
Franca: "Okay. Let me just freshen up. Text me the address of the place and I would meet you there"
Sam: Will do. See you soon"
Franca was happy he had texted her in the English language, she hated the way people forgot their grammar skills just because they were texting.
Sighing she slipped off her bed. She didn't know that Sam was going to reply back. Yes, they exchanged phone numbers but she never thought he would text her. She just met him and he was already asking her to go out with him. Well not on a date, but still. Choosing not to dwell on it, Franca dressed up.
Franca decided to tell Tyler she was going out. Walking to his room, her knuckles clenched, she was about to knock on his door, but he opened it before she could. Unclenching her hands, she put it on her side. She wanted to make a conversation in order to settle the quietness they found themselves in.
"Hey, I forgive you for shouting at me yesterday. Could we forget it happened?"
"Thank you" Tyler replies enveloping her in a hug. Why was he behaving this way? Ignoring her internal question, she reciprocated the hug.
"I am glad we are good now. I just wanted to let you know that I am going out, and I don't know when I would be back, just don't worry about me, okay?" Franca asked refusing to tell him where or who she was going to see. She didn't let him know, because she knew he couldn't like that she was going to see Sam.
"That's fine by me. Don't stay too late though, and take care of yourself" Tyler replied making his way downstairs.
Franca stomach decided to growl.
Tyler chuckled from the noise, making her embarrassed. She hit him playfully on the arm, but his reaction was to shake his head.
She ate her breakfast, grabbed Tyler's car keys and was off to meet Sam. She checked the text, to make sure she was going in the right direction. She texted him to let him know she was outside the place.
He came towards her, wearing a grin on his face. His eyes shone like stars. Wow, someone is really happy to see me, Franca thought. He strode to her car looking inside.
"I am happy you could make it. I decided we should go to Starbucks. They make the most wonderful coffee"
"I would like that, please. Could you open my car door please?"
"Of course" Sam says opening the door for her.
"Let's go then" Tyler says leading the way to Starbucks.
Franca ordered frappiccino and Sam ordered the same. They both discussed whilst drinking. Franca found out, they both shared similar things. They finished their beverages and got in his car.
Sam told her that he was going to send her car to her house after she had given him her address. Franca agreed, entered his car, and they made their way to his house.
