Chapter 17 - Wait . . .

"Found it!" Strawberry, leaning over a holed-out closet floor, called to Vanilla. The older twin rushed over to Strawberry's side - so quickly he almost crashed.

"Whoa~ So this is it?" Vanilla asked in confirmation, and Strawberry nodded. After nothing more than a moment's hesitation, Strawberry stepped far in and fell, followed by Vanilla, who jumped in cannonball style.

"Hmm~ What is it~?" the older one of the two hummed in question. His brother made a face.

"These toys aren't nearly as fun as I had wished," the younger one moped.

"Don't be picky. The storm discourages anyone else who even glances in the direction of this fair kingdom."

Clang! The brothers glanced at each other. No one else was supposed to be down here, so what was that?

Salty Tofu approached first, and an unfazed Sweet Tofu followed. The entrance was only shown to a total of three people. Sweet, Salty, and-

"-! Strawberry, we've been found!" Vanilla whispered frantically. The Tofu Twins saw the Double Scoop twins laying on the now frozen mattress floor. It was evident that one of the two had frozen the floor, which was what caused the metallic sound, although one brother seemed more obvious than the other.

". . . I guess so Big Brother," Strawberry agreed. He glanced up at Sweet, and from the way Strawberry was laying down, it looked like he went face first.

"Do you need me to heal you~?" Sweet Tofu asked, keeping up his tone despite the intruders. Vanilla answered first.

"Actually, no! Because ice helps people too~!" Strawberry glanced at his brother.

"We're a Magic Food Soul. What are you talking about-"

"ICE HELPS PEOPLE, TOO!" Vanilla interrupted. Salty Tofu took a can out of his pocket and spritzed pepper spray in Vanilla's eyes. Vanilla freaked out immediately, and then slipped on the ice and fell.

"Are you sure you don't need me? I'm sure you know I'm a Support soul," Sweet urged again. Vanilla paused. A muffled "Maybe" was his only response.

Sweet Tofu cast his healing skill, before adding a bit of magic, and Vanilla, although healed, fell unconscious. Strawberry saw, but as he was cornered by Sweet and Salty - both notably taller - he already knew he had slim chance. Plus, he just received a headache. Sweet Tofu glanced at Strawberry, and smiled along with his answer to no spoken question.

"You two twins are one Food Soul, so any affect on one of you affects the other. You're a UR soul but-" Sweet Tofu paused as Strawberry fell over. "- a stun spell is a stun spell."
