"So, what did they say?"

"I'm in."

"Chris! That's amazing. I'm so happy for you, baby. I know you wanted this part." Simone cheered as quiet as she could, considering it was 4 am in Boston and 9am in London, where Chris was having a meeting with some producers about a film called The Iceman.

"I'll be filming Iceman and Snowpiercer back to back, and they overlap a little at one point. End of production for Iceman and beginning production for Snowpiercer."

"Shit, really? Ice and Snow, it was meant to be – but honestly, are you okay with that?"

"I think I'll be okay. My role in Iceman is very much supporting, so it's not like I'm on set every single day of production." He explained. "Snowpiercer is in Prague. I'll see if I can get all my filming on the west coast for Iceman done and then bounce between Louisiana and Prague." Simone stayed quiet, letting him talk through his process. It was something he often did when there was a problem. "I'll be extra fine if my beautiful fiancée can possibly visit me in set? What do you think?"

"When?"

"Two months. Just you, me and Louisiana for two weeks. Sound good?" He asked. "I would say bring Tyler, but you'd be on set and I'm worried about him being exposed to the subject matter." Chris explained. "Which reminds me – he hasn't seen any of my movies besides the Marvel ones, right?"

"Correct. Yeah. Your um, your filmography outside of Marvel isn't something I'll be showing him any time soon." She laughed a bit. "I've seen some stuff though. Nina showed me Not Another Teen Movie."

"Oh dear fucking god." He laughed a bit. "I can't believe...Jesus Christ."

"You have a very lovely singing voice, Christopher."

"Alright, we're dropping it, that's it."

"I like sundaes."

"Simone Giselle Ray, I swear to god." He was laughing really hard now, and Simone wished she could see him, knee-slapping, doubled-over, red-in-the face and all. "Shit, I needed that." He sighed, wiping a tear from the corner of his eyes. "You need to go to bed, baby girl."

She shook her head. "No, I wanna talk to you. I got off work like an hour ago, I'm not even tired yet."

"Is Tyler there?"

"Yeah, my sister came over and watched him. She just left."

"What a trooper."

"Yeah, she's been doin' that for a while. Bless her heart."

Chris spun briefly in the luxurious rolling chair he had been seated in for the meeting. He was all alone in the boardroom now that the producers and other executives were gone, happy that they let him stay to make a personal call until his town car picked him up.

"The car is gonna pick me up in a few, I'm gonna head back to the hotel room and shower and change, then my flight leaves at noon." He explained. "I should be home – rather, at the Boston Airport by six-ish. Can you pick me up?"

"Sure can."

"Awesome. I'd much rather see your face than some random driver's. You know where to wait, right?"

"Yep, first class lounge."

"Good." A young woman approached the glass door into the meeting room, giving Chris a slight wave, then pointing to her home. "Hey, listen. My car is here. I'll see you tonight. Okay? I'll text you before I board."
