The alarm set on Chris's phone went off, interrupting the still silence of Friday morning. The clock near their door showed six a.m. on the dot, and Simone let out a soft groan at the sight of it. Chris was the first to roll out of bed, his feet hitting the floor with a soft thump as he gathered himself. His long hair was gone, shucked into a short cropped hair that reminded Simone of when she first met him. When she felt Chris's body fully lift off the bed, she followed suit and they headed into the bathroom. Chris turned on his electric razor and trimmed up his beard while Simone brushed her hair and washed her face. At 6:15, she went into Tyler's room to wake him up and get him dressed, and then Wesley began crying. Chris passed her in the hallway with a brush of his hand against her hip as he headed into the nursery.

"Mommy, can I have my eggs sunny side up?" Tyler requested.

"Sure, baby." Simone yawned, putting a pan on the stove. She cracked two eggs into the pan, then some sausage next to them once they solidified and started cooking. In a blender, she put together a protein shake for Chris and got a bagel and some fruit for herself. "Do you have your school bag together?"

"Yeah, Momma." She set the plate in front of Tyler, kissing his head as he began eating. Simone put his coat and shoes by the door just as Chris came downstairs with a pink pile of blankets in his arms. The sight brought a smile to her face immediately.

"Hello baby," Simone cooed, pulling some of the fluff away from her daughter's face to kiss her nose. "Good morning, love." She added, pecking Chris's lips. "We're all up early today because we gotta send Mr. Tyler to school."

Chris used his free hand to pat the back of Tyler's neck lovingly. "G'Morning Dad,"

"Dad?" Chris laughed with a slight scoff. "What happened to Daddy?" It caused Tyler to giggle.

"I'm still Mommy, that's all that matters." Simone smiled, nuzzling her nose against Tyler's once he turned away from his meal. Chris grabbed the empty plate and deposited it in the sink. "Go brush your teeth, baby. The bus will be here in twenty minutes." The sound of her daughter's cries filled the kitchen as Chris attempted to soothe her. "She's probably hungry, c'mere." Simone held out her hands. "I hope she's hungry because I'm really swollen."

"I noticed that this morning," Chris commented. "You tore the top of your tank top." A sly grin appeared on his features and Simone rolled her eyes playfully. Once Wesley was in her arms, she took her into the living room to breast feed, pulling down her tank to release a breast. "Alright buddy, get all your stuff together. I'm gonna walk you to the bus stop." Chris called upstairs. "Thank you for the shake, honey."

"Of course. Did you brew some coffee?"

"I did, yeah. The machine says ten minutes." He answered, slipping on some shoes with another yawn. Chris poured his shake into a portable cup, screwing it shut after Tyler came downstairs. "Say goodbye to Mommy." Tyler ran over and kissed Simone's cheek, then Wesley's head.

"Have a good day, baby." Simone told him with a smile, fixing an out of place curl. "Mommy won't see you when she gets home, but if you need me tell Auntie Nina to call me. She's gonna pick you up from school today."

"Okay," Tyler nodded, and then headed out the door with Chris.

Wesley stopped feeding and Simone burped her before laying her on her thighs, playing with her hands. "Hello baby girl, hello beautiful. I'm gonna miss you and your brother so much this weekend." She grinned when Wesley gave a little smile. "Oh there's that pretty smile, you made Daddy so happy when you smiled at him when he came home from his trip, yes you did." Simone massaged her thumbs into Wesley's palms. "And you love it when your brother reads to you, I see those pretty eyes light up." Wesley squealed and it made her mother laugh. "Your Daddy's pretty eyes." She lifted up the infant and sniffed her onesie, grimacing. "Oh, you need a diaper change. Why didn't you tell me?" She chuckled, bringing her upstairs to the nursery to change her. The front door slammed shut just as Simone was finishing up cleaning Wesley.
