Chapter 8

No One's POV

The boys were in the hospital waiting for him to wake up. His hand is tightly holding Jungkook's.

"I can't help it hyung... he keeps on saying V hyung's name in his sleep. I feel sorry for him..."
Jungkook said. Looking at Suga then looking back at the boys.

"He's even smiling..."
Jin said in a weak voice while covering his mouth and crying. Namjoon tried to comfort him by backhugging the hyung.

"He must be hallucinating..."
Jimin concluded.

"Well you aren't wrong.. He hasn't slept for more than a week..."
J-Hope held the hand of BamBam tightly.

"I don't want to wake him up, but I'm scared that he won't..."
Jungkook placed his other hand on top of Suga's.

The boys felt low-spirited over the maknae's saying.

There was a long silence as the boys look at the silent hyung who's resting in the hospital bed. The only sound was the heart monitor beating in a normal pace.

"What are we gonna tell manager hyung..?"
Jimin asked.

"I might aswell have to tell him everything."
Namjoon responded. Resting his chin on Jin's shoulder.

"I hope he'll understand."
BamBam finally speaks.

"Same..."
J-Hope held his hand tighter.

"We should've been there for him... I feel like a unresponsible parent..."
His mom speaks out of the blue. His dad agrees. While his brother is sitting on a couch cupping his forehead with his hands, looking down to the floor.

"I'm not the brother that he always wanted. I let work go first than family."
He felt guilt weighing on his heart.

"Why weren't you there for him...?"
Jungkook bit his lip, trying not to snap. He didn't want to look at the sorrowful brother's face.

"I said... why weren't you there for him."
He tried to calm himself down. He tried to not take out his anger on him. He already regretted doing that to BamBam.

"I-I was i-in a b-business trip..."
He responded in a weak voice. Unsure to what to do.

"And what about you two?"
Jimin asked the parents.

"Same reason... we all took part in the same business..."
They confessed. Feeling guilty of not being there in their own son's time of need.

"What a great family."
Jungkook clenched his teeth. But soon stopped when he looked at the peaceful yet pale sleeping boy.

"Get out."
He said.

And so they did. The parents and Geum-jae knew that they didn't belong in the room. Therefore they went out. And out of the hospital.

"Jungkook..."
Jimin said. Slowly hugging him from behind.

"He's gonna wake up soon. Don't worry..."
He whispered. He knew that the younger would cry at this point.

"I-I.. w-what did t-they do t-to d-deserve this...?"
Jungkook felt his heart being painfully weighed down.

"Shh.. it's okay... they didn't do anything, this is reality Jungkook... this is the truth..."
Jimin tried to stop him from crying, therefore he hugged the crying maknae tighter.
