★ Chapter 20 ★
"Bryan!", The door slammed open.
We both looked up.
"This is getting way too familiar.", I yawned.
"I know what you did Bryan!"
We froze and looked at Rachel who was behind Lance and Claude.
"What happened to not telling him?"
"Sorry, Bryan there's not much I can do when he orders me to tell him.", she shrugged.
Something tells me she wasn't sorry at all.
"Still haven't learned to lock the door.", Lance playfully tutted.
He looked at me,"How could you!? I told you what it meant!"
"It's not her fault."
"I know who's fault it is!"
"Just listen.", I begged.
"I'll listen when he's dead!"
Before Claude could get to Bryan I already had my hand around his throat holding him in place.
"She can't do that! She drank from a pureblood, but she shouldn't be able to... ", Rachel whispered.
"Rachel and I took her to the ice rink knowing that there'd be humans there."
"Don't add me into this."
"But, it's true.", I glared.
"That doesn't explain why you did it. Victoria, let go."
I held on tighter.
"She was going to feed on a human."
Claude stiffened and turned to Rachel," You let her be around humans without feeding her!"
I rolled my eyes.
They act like I'm a child. Well, I guess to them I am they're all old people so.
"I didn't mean to.",Rachel shank back.
"You risked innocent lives!"
"I know", she looked down," I'm sorry."
"Sorry!"
I grabbed his face," I didn't kill anyone that's what's important."
"No thanks to her! Which reminds me! What the hell did you think you were doing letting her bite you!?"
"She was going to kill that boy! What was I supposed to do!? I promised her she wouldn't kill anyone!"
"It's my fault Claude."
His eyes softened," It's not. If anything it's Rachel's.", he turned and glared at her,"Lance take Rachel away, I need to have a talk with Bryan."
Lance nodded," Lock the door next time Rabbi."
Saving Bryan from his nearing death wasn't easy. To me Bryan was a hero, without him I would have killed that boy or maybe all of them. But, Claude didn't see him has the guy that saved me from being a murderer he saw him has the guy that let me bite him. "Biting like that-it's supposed to be intimate. It means something." , "This means something to our people! It's the equivalent of you cheating on me! You even slept with him!" ,"Betrayal!".
It was all too similar to when Claude caught Lance and me. Except apparently biting now versus biting when I was a human is a big difference. Both were equally frowned upon,but the fact that I'm a vampire now makes it worse. They can't just look passed it this time.
