★ Chapter 24 ★
"So, how does it feel to be shunned?", Sarafina asked walking beside me.
"I'm not being shunned."
"That's not what I heard."
Stay civil Victoria.
"What did you hear?"
"That no guy wants you."
"Are you sure they weren't talking about you?"
"Oh, I'm sure. Lance was hanging out with me last Wednesday."
When he said he needed to go I thought he meant he had work to do not Sarafina to go to.
"You're lying. "
"I'm lying? How can be so sure?"
"He wouldn't hangout with you."
"If you say so.", She sang before she walked off.
Was Lance really with her last Wednesday? Whenever she was around he acted like he hated her. Was that all a lie has well? I know she was probably making the whole thing up, but could there be truth in it. I was in a way being shunned and has for no guy wanting me goes I couldn't really deny that either. No guy has even approach me since I've been here.
Did nobody want me here? Rachel and Bryan are the only friends I've made on my own here. Sure, most of the time I've been dead or locked up,but nobody even attempted to be my friend. But, that's partly my fault ,too. I needed to be more social. Maybe once they saw I wasn't a stuck up bitch like Sarafina they'd want to be my friend.
"Are you going to hangout with Rachel today?", Claude asked handing me a napkin.
"Um, I don't know. Claude, do the other vampires hate me being here?", I looked down at my cereal bowl.
"Of course not."
"It's just that Rachel and Bryan are my only friends. I haven't really met anyone else."
"We're having some visitors coming by later for business. You'll be able to meet them."
"Really? Do you think they'll like me?"
"They'll be staying here for a while, they have no choice."
"Oh."
Great,Professional Claude is back! I thought we were finally becoming friends. But, it will be interesting having new people to meet. Although they're only here for business they could still be nice. Well, if they weren't like Claude.
I don't know why he always became a jerk when he went into business mode. Couldn't he be a little more laid back like Lance was? He managed to get things done and have fun. Why couldn't Claude do that?
"So, I heard that we're having visitors today! I'm not allowed to be there when they come, but you will! I hope they're cute!", Rachel jumped on her bed.
"Yeah, I know Claude told me. Will you help me get ready later? It's supposed to be official business so I can't look like a whore.", I gave her a pointed look.
"What?", she looked down at herself," I don't dress like a whore! Sarafina does!"
It was true, Rachel looked nothing close to being a whore. She practically screamed sunshine and rainbows. Which I don't understand because she never acts has girly as she looks. She even had the blonde hair blue eyed Barbie body to go with it. She kind of reminded me of Bonnie. Except Bonnie was the 'goth' version of Barbie and she wasn't has tall.
Still, I could never replace Bonnie with Rachel. They weren't the same person. I cared for both of them, but just not in the same way. Bonnie was my childhood best friend that had been there for me through everything and Rachel was my vampire best friend that has helped me with everything. I shared completely different experiences with both of them.
