It's been two months within the summer break and I haven't been in contact with Scott, Allison, Stiles, or Lydia. Not even the big bad Alpha, Derek. I wanted to focus on me, and my practise of magic. Not using it for a century due to a certain mistake that I made, that made me doubt myself as a Witch and a person. That time wasn't my best...
I strolled through the woods in Beacon Hills, my mind clear of the bad memories, walking with Nature always helped me when I was finding it hard. My mind stress free, and not a care in the world right now, as this was going to be peaceful walk. As I hear the leafs crunch under my feet and the tress sway in the summer breeze, I felt connected to Nature more than ever before, like I was still mortal and life was easy.
Suddenly, I heard a twig snap, and I was no where near twigs right now. I sniffed the air, and a strong manly, wet dog smell that was masked with cologne, entered. I stood still, a smile placed on my face as I knew who it was.
"Didn't your mother teach you not to sneak up on woman, Mr Hale," I spoke with a smug look on my face, as I turn around to see him meters away, next to a tree, wearing his black leather jacket. His eyes locked onto me as he didn't say a word, and he was wanting something, I could tell. "I'll cut straight to the point. What do you want?"
"I need your help. Boyd and Erica are missing, and we can't seem to find them. I know I have no right to ask you fo--"
"I'll do it," I had cut Derek off before he could speak anymore. They are only teenagers and if it wasn't for Derek turning them into werewolves they wouldn't have know about the supernatural world. "I'll help you find them, but I need a few things," I state to him as he nodded.
I told him what I needed, and we were set to meet at the Hale House. I had to go home to get a few things myself, but a spell came in mind that could locate them...
.......................................
About an hour later, we had met in the main living room of the Hale House, a burnt but sturdy wooden table was laid in the middle of the room. Derek had gotten a map of Beacon Hill, so I could use it and he found a few cream, tall candles the he placed in the corner's of the map to hold it down. I went home to get a sliver dagger and a wooden bowl. I placed the bowl in the middle of the map, and pulled out the silver dagger.
"Here's the fun part," I state with a smile on my face as our eyes locked. "I need your blood,"
"What? Why?!" He states, as he lent slightly back as he didn't want to offer up his blood or he was just wondering why I needed it.
"Because you turned them and we don't have anything of their to go on. So, your the closest thing to them. In a sense," I replied waving the dagger around as I explained it to Derek. I don't think he fully understood the concept of it, but he lent back in and offer his hand out to me.
I grabbed his soft hand in mine, and turned it over so his palm was facing the ceiling. "This will hurt a bit," I state to him as he nodded his head, ready for me to cut him. With one quick slice of the dagger, a cut was made on his palm and blood rushed up to the surface and poured out. I closed his hand into a fist and put it over the bowl, letting it fill.
I smiled at Derek, his blood didn't bother me as much, it was like I was used to it. The bowl was filling nicely, and the bottom of the bowl wasn't seen anymore,. "Ok, done," I said to him as he reclined his hand back and held his hand to the side as the wound would heal.
I got my index and middle finger out and swirled them in the blood. "Et in purificationem ejus sanguinem, tenuit calicem creata," I chanted as my fingers swirled around the bowl, Derek's eyes were upon me the whole time. I pulled out my fingers and picked the bowl up, before pouring it onto the map, right in the center, before placing the bowl to the side. "Phasmatos Tribum," as I began the spell, the four candles at the edge of the map, lit by themselves and produced hot flames for me to channel. "Nas Ex Veras, Sequita Saguines, Ementas Asten Mihan Ega Petous," I focused on the map, and Derek's blood began to wiggle and move, but it stayed in it's circle, like something was blocking my magic. I frown in confusion as the blood didn't move much.
"Is something wrong?" Derek had caught on, as his eyes darted from the map to mine.
"Something's blocking my magic," I replied to him as I made eye contact. Just then, his blood set aflame, engulfing the map with it. We both shot back in surprise, as the heat of the flames leapt from the map. As the map burned, I waved my hand over the hot flames and they were extinguished straight away.
"That's not good," I state to him as I look down to the map, to see it burnt to a crisp.
"What does it mean?" Derek asked quickly, wanting to know if it's either good or bad, but I had no idea, it could mean plenty of things.
"I don't really know," I replied with honesty, but I was hoping for Derek's sake that Boyd and Erica were still alive, and they were somewhere. "I'm sorry Derek, but there isn't anything else I can do," I spoke with sadness in my tone as my eyes look to him.
"Thank you for trying though," Derek said with no expression as he thought to do next to find Boyd and Erica. But I could sense that he was upset that they are his responsibility. I went over to the other side of the table, and placed a hand on his tense but muscular shoulder.
"You'll find them," I said to him, to give him encouragement and to not lose hope. "I know you'll find them," my eyes were soft and caring, he gave me a thin smile as he nodded. Time's like this I wish I had more of an insight and more power. If I channel too much energy, it can kill me. Though I've never tried it, I would think that I would remain dead, no coming back for me and I couldn't do that for my friends...
