The next day had approached and it was official Halloween, through I never cared for this Holiday, it was the one I could act like myself and not be a freak of Nature. So, that was the only plus side here and for this one night.

The School day had gone by fast and I hardly saw anymore of my friends as I wasn't up for talking to them just yet. The whole thing with Barrow taking me, I didn't know why he wanted me, it made no sense. I heard that Danny was throwing his Halloween party tonight, at a place that Aiden had offered up to him as Derek was out.
I had made my way to Derek's loft, as I left my bag at home, the night was going to be warm as the place will be filled with hot teenagers, so I wore something more comfortable and not death traps like heels... And I mean death trap for teenagers who get in my way...
As I was outside of the building, I see Derek pull in and park outside, getting out and facing the car as I see three children dressed up approaching Derek and he likely heard them. Derek suddenly, spins around to face the children. I had stopped in my tracks to watch the scene play out, only a few meters away.
"Trick or treat!" All of them spoke at the same time, staring at Derek, waiting for him to give them candy. Derek looks at the three of them, before he moves his hand inside the car as he left the window down, but his eyes never left the children. I could hear there little heart-beats pick up, but Derek pulls out a large bag of M&M's which held multiple packs of them inside. The children open their sacks as they were filled with sweets, Derek places a bag in each of the sacks without saying a word to them. Once he finished, the children stayed as they wanted some more. But Derek had other plans, just then his eyes glowed a blue colour and he growls at the children, scaring them off.
"Who's sneaking up now, " Derek had said, loud enough for me to hear as I walked up to him. He turns to face me, holding a grin on his chiselled face.
"Oh how the tables have turned," I replied smugly, as I crossed my arms over my chest as he stares at me.
"I heard what happened," Derek had spoke, his grin had dropped as he began serious. "Glad you're safe," was the Big bad Ex-Alpha cared for someone else.
"Thanks," I replied as I uncrossed my arms and let them dangle, as this as awkward. We haven't talked properly since our talk last time in his loft. Our eyes averted one another for a few moments as we stood just not speaking or we were waiting for either one of us to speak.
"So do you need anything else?" He had asked, making me cock an eyebrow up at me, as he didn't want to deal with his feeling right now.
"Really? Your not going to talk about our connection," I spoke as my voice was raised at him. "There I said it. There's something between us! And you know it, plus you feel it!" My eyes burned into his as he knows deep down that there was something between us, but he didn't want to trust me because his luck with women isn't great right now.
