I had gotten us back to the police station in one piece, but it did take a little out of me, as a small amount of blood had dripped down my nose. Derek of course was worried for me, but I waved him off. Luckily, Chris had covered for us, and no one really asked questions as they were still in panic because of the explosion.
Derek and I shared a cell, as Chris had his own. I had sat next to Derek, who was trying to get information about Katashi's murder and had a new shirt on, it was like a light grey colour.
"Still nothing?" Chris's voice had came into play, as Derek was trying to concentrate with his eyes closed. "Derek?" Chris had asked, as he didn't get a reply back.
"Hold on," he spoke, as he was gathering the information that Chris needed. After a few moments, Derek opened his eyes. "You were right. They're moving all the evidence," Derek had lifted his head back up to look straight ahead and through the metal bars, which I could easily break out of.
"Was there anything about the murder itself? Any other details?" Chris asked, as he wanted to know what had happened to him.
"Just about putting Katashi's things in a federal lockup and something about Stilinki being out for the day," Derek had begun as he given us the information. "You know, if all of this is true, people are dead because of Stiles,"
"It's not really Stiles," I spoke back to Derek, as I wanted to defend him. "We had a similar problem before," I had remembered them about the time with Jackson and all that.
"But we got lucky with Jackson," Derek had replied, as there was a moment pause as an officer had walked passed the other side of the cells. "What happens when you don't get lucky?"
"I guess it depends on how much or how little of Stiles is left," Chris had said, it's like he was already gone and there was no hope for him. But I don't believe that, I have hope. "You ever heard of Berserkers?"
"Germanic warriors. They wore the skins of bears to channel their ferocity," Derek had replied to Chris's question.
"They didn't just wear them. They became them," I could all ready tell by the tone of Chris's voice that this was going to be a sad story. "You know, a couple of years ago, a family came to us for help with their son. This group of teenagers, they were doing all sorts of rituals with animal skins. Somehow they tapped into it," Magic at it's worse. You don't meddle with things you don't understand. "But with Berserkers, the human side doesn't last long. They're not tempered by the moon,"
"He killed people?" Derek had asked, knowing that this was where the story was heading. In this world, nothing had an happy ending.
"He tore them apart. Eventually, I had to tell the family their son was gone. It took three of us to take him down. Almost every bullet we had. And when it was over, I felt no remorse. None." Chris was so sure of himself, but there was nothing he could have done to save him. "I knew that kid was long gone,"
"Would you feel any remorse putting Stiles down?" Derek had asked the question that I feared to ask. I wouldn't have the strength to do it.
"Stiles? Yes," Chris had replied straight off the bat. "But not a Nogitsune," his tone sounded dark, and I know he meant it. But to kill the Nogitsune, he would have to kill the host which was Stiles. Even as a Witch I should be helping him, even if it means killing Stiles because we Witches keep balance, keep nature on course.
"You're willing to kill Stiles for the hopes it will kill the Nogitsune inside. It's a spirit, he could possess someone else's body. That's how possession works," I had state to them, as this wasn't a thing we should miss out. Spirits are tricky, if you don't destroy it correctly, they can body jump.
