Stiles had found a way for the bus to stop at the rest area. His plan was very creative and fast thinking. Stiles had taken Scott off the bus, as Allison, Lydia and I had pulled into the rest area, seeing the bus. We all bolted out, Allison began to help Stiles with Scott, as Lydia and I walk behind them to make sure no one followed us.They took him into the 'Men's' restroom, Lydia and I looked around before entering. Once inside, Allison began to gently place Scott to the ground in between the sinks, but he groans in pain. Allison lifts his shirt up to reveal claw marks, but the blood that oozes out was black. with black veins coming from the marks.
"Oh, my God. Why didn't you tell us?" Allison said, as she was really worried for Scott. We were all shocked to see Scott in this state.
"Sorry," was the only word Scott could muster up.
"Okay," Allison began lowering his shirt back down, before standing and turning to me. "Heal him," I gave her a nod, as I went to kneel on the floor where she was moments ago.
"Will you be ok, doing this?" Scott has pushed through the pain to ask me. I couldn't help be smile warmly, he was looking out for me because of what happened in the mall...
"I'll be fine, you should be worrying more about yourself," I spoke as I lifted his shirt up, but the fabric of the shirt had caught the wound a bit, making him wince in pain. "This is going to hurt," I said, but before he could reply, I place my palm flat against his wound without any warning. Pain clearly shot through his body, at my action. I could feel the wetness from the wound, leaking out onto his toned body.
I took a deep breath as I closed my eyes as I focused on healing Scott. I was imagining his skin knitting back together, his blood returning back to normal. Suddenly, I could feel the ground tremble, my hand began to shake slightly on Scott's body. I snapped open my eyes to see that it wasn't working.
I pulled my hand away from his wound, as my magic wasn't working, either it was me being faulty again. Or his body is rejecting my magic...
"Something isn't right," I began as I stood and turned to the trio, their eyes worried. "He's not healing from my magic," my voice sounded worried as it's never happened before. I know what happened at the mall with Derek and what I did, but I wasn't going to let my other friend die...
"I've seen him heal from worse than this," Allison states clearly worried.
"Okay, what do we do then? Do we just call an ambulance?" Stiles asks, as there was no way he would heal on his own.
"What if... What if it's too late? What if they can't help? " Allison ponders the possibilities of this.
"We gotta do something," Stiles rushes out as he didn't want to watch his best friend die.
"You know, it could be psychological," Lydia pipped up, her eyes casting to the three of us.
"What do you mean, like, somatoformic," I spoke up, Lydia's eyes went to mine with a small nod of her head.
"A physical illness from a psychogenic cause," Lydia went to the others as they had no idea what we were on about. Living so long you dabble into different things...
Stiles waves his hand around pointlessly as he had no idea what she was on about. "Yes, it's all in his head," Lydia replied with a roll of her eyes.
"All in his head?" Stiles sounded like he was connecting the dots together. "Because of Derek," I wasn't ready to hear his name aloud, but yet it struck a string in my heart. "He's not letting himself heal 'cause Derek died,"
"So what do we do?" Allison had asked, as Lydia began to look through her purse to find something.
"Stitch him up," Lydia replied as she holds like a sowing kit in her hands. We look at her with disbelief in our faces as we all exhale deeply. "I'm serious. Maybe all he needs to do is just believe it's healing,"
