What can I say? Harold, Louis & Darcy absolutely loved the surprise. It was a very special dinner to me and it seemed that it touched them as well. The chandelier was shining bright on top of us and in the middle of the table were the flowers that Harold had picked out for her mother when we went to pick her at the hospital.

All the food except dessert was on the table and they described it as “buffet-style dinner”.  They all took a bit of everything and even if we sat at the table for almost an hour eating whatever was there and talking, we weren’t fully done afterwards. We managed to finish all the appetizers and there were only about half of the mains left. We waited before having dessert because we knew it wasn’t a good idea, besides it was too much food already they said.

It felt nice to be only the three of us talking together after Darcy tucked Harold in bed. Ana Sophia was in Darcy’s room sleeping as well. Louis, Darcy and I talked about a bunch of things and I know we all wanted to mention love but nobody dared to say anything.

I thought it was awkward during the long silences, but apparently I’m the only awkward one. They said they didn’t really find it awkward since we were all friends, but I guess they didn’t to say things beyond that. I thought that way because I saw all of this like a love triangle. I knew Louis loved me and he knew it was the same for me, but Darcy had said in the past that she loved me too and I knew that I loved her too. I wasn’t gay, I was bi and between the two, it was hard to pick because I loved them both so much and they meant so much to me. Sure, sometimes I would love Louis more than Darcy, but whenever Louis and I are separated and our friendship feels like it’s fading, I feel that I love Darcy more. I don’t even know why, it’s just that way but I know one day I’ll make up my mind.

Some people would probably hate me for it and say that true love is only when you love one person, but yeah I don’t even know. I guess I’m on my way there and it would probably end up being Louis because I’ve had this super big crush on him since we had classes together.

“I’ll be driving her to her appointment, is that okay with you?”

“Sorry, what are you guys talking about?”

“What happened to you Harry, it’s like you’re barely paying attention in this conversation…” I hear.

“Sorry, I was lost in my thoughts.” I say.

“What are you thinking about?”

“Things.” I say back once again.

“Anyway…” I say shyly, breaking the silence and ignoring my thoughts.

“Louis, you can drive her, I can’t take a day off, they’ll comment on that if I keep doing that so that’s okay with me.”

“Are you sure?”

“Mhhmm…But Darcy, are you okay with that?”

“Yeah babe, don’t worry. I know I can trust Louis.”

“Well um, I’m just going to make myself some Yorkshire tea before bed, anyone else want some?” Louis asks as he gets up from the sofa, heading towards the kitchen door.

“I’ll have one; your tea is the best.” I say cheekily.

“I’ll try one then as well.” Darcy adds.

As soon as Louis left the room, I turned back to Darcy to apologize, because I know it was the one time where I was breaking my promise to her.

“Hey babe, are you sure you’re okay with him driving you?”

“Yeah Harry, it’s no problem.”

“Listen, I know I promised I’ll always be there when you get out of the house but…”
