Scott Lang-I thought you didn't love her

So this is an angst for Scott just cuz I love Scott and I think he needs to be appreciated more, but this is angst, so have fun! 

You were aware of the few people Scott loved before you, one of them being Hope. She was everything you wished you could be. When you joined Steve's team, your powers were new and you were afraid of them, but Hope embraced everything and fought to get what she got. You liked Hope, but as Scott's current girlfriend, you felt severely threatened. 

One day Scott was getting some upgrades on his suit so naturally, you went with Natasha to help train. Your powers were to control the elements. Your powers were very close to someone named Storm ;), but you were very afraid you were going to hurt the people who were on your side. 

During training Natasha didn't slow down, she had a fight with Steve about their plans and she was taking it out on you, so you left tired and drained in every sense of the way. When you got back to your shared place with Scott, you thought you would come home to him and Cassie. Instead you walked into silence, at least at first. 

As you were walking through the apartment, trying to see if Scott was going to jump out and scare you like he sometimes did, you heard Hope's voice. Immediately your heart dropped as you stalked to the source. You saw Scott and Hope in your bedroom, and they weren't talking. 

"Scott, what the actual fuck?" You asked from the doorway causing them to pull apart. His eyes widened as he looked from you to Hope and back again. You shook your head at the lack of response and walked back out, grabbing your gym back along the way. 

"Y/N! Wait!" Scott finally yelled as he ran after you leaving Hope alone. 

You didn't stop as you kept walking away from him. Finally he caught up and caught your wrist making you stop. 

"Y/N please listen to me and let me explain." Scott pleaded with you as you looked at the ground in front of you. 

"You were kissing her. I thought you didn't love her anymore, was I just a rebound?" You whispered, still not able to meet his eyes. 

"What? No, not at all. You know I love you and not her. She was the one who gave me the upgrades this time and we were talking about how our relationship ended and then she just kissed me. Y/N I don't love her." Scott pleaded, wishing you would just look at him but you couldn't. 

"That doesn't mean you didn't kiss her back. I literally just saw you kiss your ex-girlfriend." You said as you ripped your wrist away from him. "Goodbye Scott." You said flicking your wrist and trapping him with the roots that game up from the cracks in the sidewalk. 

Scott tried to move but your powers were the most powerful when you were hurt. You walked away and back to where Steve was staying. He was the one you trusted and would understand the most. He welcomed you in and made sure you were okay before you set out on another mission. 

This mission was to bring back Wanda since she hadn't reached out to the team since they hadn't heard from Wanda in a few weeks. They found her in a train station with two alien type people, trying to get the stone from Vision's head. 

You made their attention switch over to you and unfortunately, the shield of trees wasn't thick enough because one of them threw their spear at you, and it hit you. You fell to the ground, trying to stop the bleeding. When they made sure Vision and Wanda were safe they rushed over to you. 

"Y/N, come on. We're gonna get you out of here." Steve said before picking you up and rushing out to the QuinnJet. 

"Someone call Sc-" You started before you remembered what he had done. 

"I was going to call him whether you wanted me to or not. You need to see him and sort this out because this probably wouldn't have happened if you weren't distracted by him." Natasha spat out at you causing you to give her a face before sticking out your tongue at her. "You two really are meant for each other." She mumbled as she walked away. 

You fell unconscious halfway through the flight and when you woke up you were back at the compound, and you were not alone. 

As soon as Scott saw your eyes open he jumped up and called a doctor. They checked on you, but the tension between you and Scott still hung in the air. When the doctor finally left you looked at him. 

"I thought I lost you." He whispered and you just looked at him. 

"You kissed her, why?" You asked and he looked down and sighed. 

"I don't love her. I love you, and you know that. I was tired from testing all of the upgrades and I guess I wasn't thinking so when she kissed me....I kissed back." He explained while you played with your fingertips. 

"So part of you wanted to kiss her back otherwise you wouldn't have kissed her." You stated making him shrug, not knowing what to say. "Can you 100% say that you don't love her anymore?" You asked with a sliver of hope left in your heart. 

"Yes, I'm 100% over her Y/N. I love-" Scott started but when he looked up, he saw you drifting away into dust. "No, no, no, no, what's going on? Y/N please don't. Please stay with me. Doctor!" Scott yelled as he held your hand with tears in his eyes. 

No one came to help him as the person he loved drifted into dust. Scott looked at where you once were and let the tears fall down his cheeks. "I love you Y/N." He whispered before walking out of the room to find whoever the hell did this to the love of his life. 

A/N: 

So who's ready for Endgame? I know I am for sure not. It's like two weeks away and I'm still preparing myself for what I'm going to see. I am not ready. 

I hope you liked this imagine! Scott is under appreciated and I might do a part two after I see Endgame to hopefully give Scott the happy ending he deserves! 

When you see Endgame I hope you don't cry too much and hopefully I'll update before then!
