Ezra POV

It was Howling Moon. Lucy had explained it to us. I, however, was still shaken.

No, not by the fact that a dark guild had kidnapped practically our entire guild. But Aurora, her scent... she was leading them.

That's why I was so wary of Lucy at first. They looked so similar, they could have been sisters. They could have been the same person. But, I knew for a fact they weren't. We went to go see Aurora's mother, well, her grave, and it sure didn't have the last name "Heartfilia". No, the last name was "Flash". She was a direct ancestor of the Light Wolf, from son to son, and so on, to her mother, then to her.

And yes, the Light Wolf's first and last name was Flash. So yes, his name was Flash Flash.

"We need to find out how to get our members back." I jolted out of my thoughts as Natsu took charge. Lucy was still mad, fuming about how we lost everyone.

"Natsu." My voice was steady, and I hoped no sign of my depressing thoughts shone through. "You know we can't do that."

"What? Why not?" The idiot of a leader said.

I facepalmed. Well, facetabled. "Go smell the field again."

The rest of the wolves also went to go smell, other than Wendy. I supposed she knew, too.

"Wendy..."

"Yes, Erza, I know."

It was a long time since I had even thought about her. It was a long time since I had though about the war. The war...

I still regret that day. I couldn't save him. I couldn't save her.

She...

"We have to go find her." Natsu had come in and interrupted my thoughts.

"So." Lucy began. We were on the way to Howling Moon, which was on the opposite side of the oh-so-large continent we were on. As of now, we decided to crash at a hotel. Or was it a motel? Or an inn? I always forget the difference between those three.

"So. You gonna tell me who Aurora is?"

I closed my eyes. Memories resurfaced, and swan through my head like I was drunk. But, I kept my head.

"She... was a prodigy," I began. "Smart, cunning, brave, and loyal. But she had one flaw. She was insane."

"Insane as in...?"

"She could never see happiness. Her world was made up of dark. The world included continents of self harm and self hate. To put it lightly, she was depressed. All she wanted to do was die.

"You know, she wasn't always like that. When we first met her, she was a rouge. Wild, free, and happy. I don't know what happened next exactly, but she joined a guild. And she was strong, but not strong enough.

"They trapped her. She was too kind, too giving. She forgave too easily. They hurt her. She was essentially their punching bag, for when everything went wrong.

"One day, she just... snapped. She... severely hurt everyone in that guild. Even herself. When we got to the scene, the place, you could say, was covered in blood."

I shivered. I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't speak anymore. Gray continued the story for me.

"We found her in the woods. She was nearly passed out. If she wasn't so scarred, she would have been a beauty. White-blonde hair and tan skin. You know, Lucy, if you were tanner and had lighter hair, you would look almost exactly like her."

I saw Lucy shiver. I would, too, if I didn't relive that day many times in my nightmares.

"We got her to Porlyusica just in time. Even then, she nearly died. Her first instincts were that of a cornered animal. She wanted to escape.

"When it was clear she couldn't escape, she lived in the guild with us. Of course, we mentioned she was insane. Nothing we could do would stop her from harming herself. Soon, it got to the point where she began attacking inanimate objects. And then, us.

"Then he came. Lucas. He was practically her soulmate. You know, the first time he met her, he stopped her from hurting everyone. We actually had never saw her eyes after we had rescued her. And she was... crying. Inside, I think she was just wolf, a sensitive one at that. It's just that her soul had been forced to be so sharp. It was forced, and not gradually."

"Then," Wendy continued, "then things began to look up. They were a two wolf team. They were like the Sun and the Moon. Without the Sun, there is no Moon. And without the Moon, no equal will ever befall the Sun.

"And that's exactly what happened. As you might have heard, there was a war. That's how we got so much territory, and that's why so much of it is unexplored. The war was brought to us, and all the faded guilds gave us their territory in gratitude. There was too much, and one day, on a day of battle, Lucas was killed.

"Aurora went insane again, merely minutes after she saw him die. She ended that battle, which won us the war. But we lost at a greater price. She had taken his body and flew away. We never have seen her again before this."

Lucy choked. "I'm sorry, didn't you say she was a werewolf? Did you say flew?"

Natsu sighed. "Lucy, list the four dominating species."

"Well," she started uncertainly, "there are the humans, werewolves, merpeople, and... vampires."

"Yeah. Her father is a vampire."

"But... that's impossible! She can't be!"

"Well, we all have human forms, so yes, it is possible."

"Natsu, that was a rhetorical statement."

"What does rhetatatical mean?"

Gray smirked. "Look at you two, bickering like a old married couple."

Natsu stammered, and shut up. Lucy flushed a deep crimson. "Well, we are neither old, nor married, nor a couple. Plus old married people don't bicker. They have adult conversations. We are not bickering, either. Plus, your grammar sucks. Use 'an' instead of 'a'," Lucy retorted.

Gray let out a puff of breath. "So you two are having 'adult conversations' like an old married couple."

Lucy sighed and gave up. "So, how are we gonna fight her?"

I closed my eyes. "You see, that's the problem. She's going to calculate our every move. She's going to be the hardest fight for a long, long time.

"There's a chance we won't make it."

Eheheheh what do you think? 1102 words, but I still think this chapter is a little rushed. Now, there's going to be a split in the group, so the first few people who choose the paths will make the endings. :3
