Lamar's POV

Today was Sunday and I had the day off, after getting my business dealing sorted out with Waco, I got Gray ready for our visit to Mabble's house.

He loved it there, I think it was the first time he actually made friends. After getting everything ready we head out.

Today I would be helping her out with the kids, she operates an orphanage and daycare out of her home.

When I first came here to ask the fee for having her watch Gray while I work, she had told me, "its free," and lord knew I didn't have any money.

But I couldn't just mooch off this great lady, after we talked it over, we both decided that I could come over and help with the kids.

Today I would me over there helping with the kids, she had maybe 17 of them ranging from teens to babies.

"Are we there yet," Gray ask me excitedly. Smiling back at him I said, "soon squirt in another minute or two."

I could tell he was happy, and that made me happy as well, after pulling up in the drive way he pulls his seat buckle and open the door, running from the door.

He was on the porch, moving swiftly he rang the door bell, then Curtis open the door and gave Gray a high five.

He was a fun kid, he played with the kids at the orphanage, you could always see a smile on his face no matter what. I think he was 16.

"Curtis give me a hand with these," I shouted at him.

Breaking up there conversation, Gray runs into the house and Curtis walked towards my car.

My deal with Waco was already profiting me, I decided to use some of the money for good. Going online I bought some toys, toiletries and grocery for the kids and had them delivered in one day.

Curtis took out one of the boxes and brought it inside, then he and Yuki came out. Yuki was the serious one out of all the kids and he always seem like the bodyguard of the kids here.

He greeted me and both of them, started unloading the boxes and bring them in.

Walking inside I went to look for Mabel, she was sitting outside under a gazebo in the back yard sitting in a rocking chair.

All the kids were playing, Gray was there as well, he was playing with a cute angel, that was around his age.

She was one of the newer kids, she just arrived five days ago, Curtis found here in woods by herself.

From what I heard her parents were rogues that got killed by hunters and she escaped.

Looking at them playing together makes me sad that soon we'll have to leave here.

"We just have to live in these happy moments, so that we can always look back at them fondly," I think to myself.

"Hey there are you gonna play with the kids," Mable said to me.

"Soon," I answered, "so what you in for," she ask me. "I brought some stuff but I'm gonna clean," I tell her.

"Good luck because, that place is a mess," she laughs and says.

"Thanks for the heads up," I said then turn my head to look at Tate, who had baby Benjamin in his hand feeding him with his nipple bottle, he was one of the 3 teens living here, he was the shyest kid I've ever meet and that's coming from me a social awkward witch whom had trouble blending in the human world.

"Hey Tate," I said but he just cower and turn away. Mabel looked at me with an apologetic face.

It was okay I didn't feel offended by his response because I could feel how shy he was, at that moment I decided one of my personal mission was to get Tate out of shell before we leave town.
