You were laying on your bed (that you shared with your darling husband, Spock.), your head in the Vulcan's lap. He fiddled with your hair twirling it inbetween his fingers as he tapped away on a tricorder. Moments like these were rare between you two. Spock worked nearly 24/7. Meanwhile you only worked an average 10 hour work shift. You sighed and closed your eyes. Spock looked down at you. "Is something wrong?" He asked.

"No... well... yes..." you mumbled. He set down the tricorder and moved you off of his lap. You sat up looked at him. The raven haired man held your face in his hands and looked you dead in the eye. "Human emotions... so illogical..." he whispered. You smiled sadly, "You have them too. If you didn't, you wouldn't be married to me. Right?" You asked hesitantly.

Spock flashed a small smile, "Very true. Now Y/N, tell me what's wrong..."

E/C eyes closing and mouth frowning, you spoke, "I never get to spend time with you... it's against code to show affection to fellow officers while on duty and you're always on duty..."

Spock frowned at your words and tucked a piece of H/L H/C hair behind your ear.

"Is Kirk going to keep you on the bridge all night again?..." you hated falling asleep without Spock there. You felt safer with him. The only time you knew he was laying with you was when he went to bed with you or when his alarm went off in the early morning.

He sighed, "I am afraid so..." he stood up and you did as well. Spock raised two fingers and you did as well. A Vulcan kiss was an alien concept to you after nearly a year of marriage but it made Spock so happy when you participated in Vulcan activities and traditions. Your pairs of fingers danced across each other and Spock smiled. He kissed you quickly on the lips before opening the door.

"Spock, wait please-" Your sweet voice was cut off by him closing the door and you watched him walk away through the slightly transparent windows.
You whispered, "Stay..."
