Stare at the ceiling, my patient,
Lay your back upon deep violet velvety down,
Stare at the ceiling, my patient,
And watch the colors start to drown,
They fade from your vision like memories,
And flounder in the edge like dreams,
But in the end, they disappear,
Melting on your tongue like snow,
And drifting away like the autumn wind.
Watch them blow as your breath does,
Out,
Out,
Out.
Watch the worlds become a single color, and listen to its ticking heartbeat as it
Fade,
Fade,
Fades away.
And when the world is finally grey, my patient,
Only then can you open your lips,
Only then can you trust your tongue to speak,
To not trick you.
When you realize the world is black and grey,
And that nothing is truly pure white,
That is when you can envision your voice.
That is when you should speak to me.Stare at the ceiling, my patient,
Lay your back upon the deep grey velvety down.
Stare at the ceiling patient,
And realize the colors weren't ever around.
Open your eyes my patient,
we cannot play this game anymore. Can you see it, my sweetheart?
My child, my beloved?
Can you see the fading colors on the ground?
Have you ever seen something so beautiful,
So simple and so plain,
Something to warp your perspective,
To make it strain the naked eye like tugging toffy with tongs?
To make calm the raging war that was the colors,
The ones that pulled you towards the end and pulled you back again?Have you ever opened your eyes, my child?
Will you ever look at my grey?* a/n I just realized these notes should be at the bottom haha!!
A special thanks to a kid in my class who reminded me of this word. Really, he only pronounced it, but it's been in my head for days! Hope I executed it well!
