I woke up with my alarm the next morning, and got straight out of bed. I stripped my bed and put it in the wash basket. I got myself all dressed and ready and took my suitcases downstairs and was all ready for breakfast at 7:30am, as dad had requested. We had fried egg sandwiches. Everyone else ate breakfast with us, but it was just going to be me and dad in the car. I double checked my handbag to make sure that I had all the things that I was meant to pack at the last minute this morning. I had my IPhone and charger, earphones, travel brush, lip gloss, purse, tissues and just all other typical handbag stuff.

Saying goodbye to all my family was really difficult. We were all in tears. Millie cried too, even though she didn’t know what was going on. J gave me a hug again and it was really cute because J is never all soppy and sentimental like this. Dad hurried us all on and I told everyone else that I would miss them hugely and that I love them. We got in the car and I cried for a bit, then I texted Allie to let her know that we were leaving.

It took 3 hours to get to the little village of Sunnydon. We entered the village I looked around. Trees. Everywhere. Oh and what's that over there? Oh yeah. Another tree. I wondered where the school was. Or all the people that attended the school! We travelled up the road a bit further and I saw 3 houses, then a massive plot of land. Then as we travelled up further, I saw another 2 houses and a plot of land. Then as we went up further, I saw the same again. On the other side of the road was crops, then a church. Another 2 minutes up the road and I saw my new school and then we got to my grandparents' farm.

Dad stops the car, then I get out and haul my 4 cases out of the boot. I give 2 to dad to take in and I lug the other 2 up to the door myself. I check out the garden. It is so big it is the same size as my back garden back at home. It is a large rectangle with a path leading down the middle to the front door. There is a large tree with a swing dangling off it and there are flowers plotted all over the garden. It looks nice, but I won't admit that out loud because I want everyone to know how I really don't want to be here.

When we get to the door, it swings open. Out pops a skinny old lady wearing blue jeans and a checkered shirt. Granny Pat. She runs forward and pulls me into a large hug, her grey hair resting on my shoulders. "Hello darling! It's so good to see you!" She cries. Does she not realise that I am here on punishment? "Hi Granny Pat!" I say, pulling away from her hug.

We haul my suitcases into the house and walk up the stairs with them. We all start to unload my suitcases into the room. Dad and Granny make small talk and I look around my new room, unloading my belongings. The room is fairly large. It has a double bed, a desk opposite, a door leading to the en suite next to it, a wardrobe to the left and a chest of draws to the right. There is a 22" TV on the wall above the desk, a spinning chair, a notice board and a few empty photo frames and a lamp on the chest of drawers. The wall is cream and it has a pink flower canvas above the chest of drawers. It also has cream carpet that is so thick that it makes your feet sink into it. There is also chocolate brown curtains and a set of shelves on the wall opposite the window, next to the wardrobe.

I put my bed sheets on the bed, put all my clothes in the wardrobe and drawers, put my laptop, pen pot, book and docking station on my desk, put my photos in the frames on the chest of drawers, and I put my hair box on there too. I put my posters on the wall, then I take my wash bag and put all my toiletries in the en suite bathroom. It has a toilet, sink with a shelf above it, a shower and a cabinet with a mirror next to it. It only took half an hour to make the room look exactly like my one at home used to.

We go downstairs and Grandad Rob walks in. "Cassandra! Hello dear!" He says and walks up to me and gives me a hug. "Hey grandad! Call me Cassie now please" I say. Grandad lets me out of the hug and looks at me. "You're growing up too quickly dear" he says. Dad and Granny laugh and nod in agreement. "I need to get back home" dad says. But as it is 12 o clock, Granny offers dad lunch first before he leaves. Dad stays for lunch, then says goodbye to me, then he goes. That's it. No turning back now.
