Allie arrived and we had a cry. Then J came in and told us that the others had arrived so we went downstairs. I noticed mum bringing trays of sandwiches and crisps into the lounge. She obviously expected me to throw a small party. I led all my guests into the lounge and they all asked about me leaving. Honestly, this is the most that any of them have ever inquired into my life. Suddenly I exist, and I'm leaving now.

I tell them all about why I'm leaving and how I don't know how long I will be away but it will definitely be for the rest of the school year. They all pretended that they were really sorry to hear that I was leaving and were all gone within the next hour and a half. Allie stayed for a while longer and we talked about what my new school uniform will look like and she said that the boys will probably be really fit. We laughed and had our final hug. Then she left, making me promise to keep in contact. I hope I have signal on my phone!

That evening, mum cooked me my favorite meal - pasta bake. I hope that Granny Pat will make pasta bake, I don’t think that I will be able to survive all that long without having my favorite meal. I tell mum all about my friends and how I highly doubt that any of them will stay in contact apart from Allie. Mum assures me that I will make plenty of new friends at my new school, so I shouldn’t dwell on the fact that the people at Huddersland have only decided to be friendly to me now. I tell mum that I wouldn’t be in the situation to leave these people if she and dad hadn’t decided to send me off to Granny Pat’s.

Mum put the pasta bake in the oven then came and sat down at the table next to me. “Sweetheart,” She said “I know this seems like a huge deal for you at the moment, and I am sorry that we are doing this to you, but me and your dad totally feel like this move is going to do you the world of good! We are certain that you will come back a new person. You will mature so much, and you will realize that being on your social media sites until early hours of the morning is a silly thing to do. In a few years’ time, you will thank us for this.” She gets up, kisses me on the forehead, then gets on with setting the table for dinner.

“Mum, I am sorry for what I have done. Can you just forgive me? I won’t do it again, I promise! Just please, please, don’t send me away” I beg. Mum turns around and gives me the sympathy eyes. Damn. That means that her mind is set and I don’t get another word in on this. I look at the timer. 2 minutes until the yumminess will be ready to eat. I finish mum’s pathetic attempt of setting the table and then I go and pick Millie up off of her play mat and put her in her high chair. Mum dishes up the dinner whilst I call dad and James for dinner. Then, finally, we eat.

After I finished eating the most delicious meal of the week, I run back up to my bedroom to finish my packing. I look at all my photos and posters that I stuck to my wall. I carefully pull them all in a carrier bag and then I put the carrier bag in my suitcase. My room looks so bare. I go to the bathroom and get all my toiletries, and I get a towel, a clean flannel, new bed sheets and all of my clothes that have just been washed out of the airing cupboard. I then put everything that I own into 4 suitcases.

I go downstairs after having a shower, washing my hair and changing into my nightwear. My family are all waiting for me. Looks like it is going to be a family conference. They all tell me how much they love me and they are going to miss me. We eat chocolate cake with ice cream as a treat, because I am leaving. “Set your alarm on that IPhone of yours for 7:00 tomorrow morning. I want you all dressed and ready for 7:30am. We will head to Granny Pats after a quick bit of breakfast.” Dad tells me. I nod my agreement, tell them all goodnight, then head up to bed. I then lay on my bed and cry myself to sleep.
