"Cassandra! Get your butt out of bed and down stairs, immediately!" Dad screamed though my locked door. This woke me up, I rolled over and looked at my clock - 7.15am. Gosh, why did he have to be such a morning person, and so loud too? But, like the good girl I am, I just responded with "coming!" Then I did as he asked and dragged my butt out of bed.

When I arrived downstairs, I noticed my whole family gathered around the kitchen table. Millie was just sitting there making gurgling noises - she is only a baby. But James, my older brother, was smirking. Bother, I thought, I must be in trouble. "Cassandra, we looked at our online records and it seems like you have been using wifi on your IPhone until the early hours of the morning, do you care to explain yourself?" I then came and took my seat at the table and put some butter on my toast.

I then thought to myself that I might as well just annoy him some more, I've got nothing to lose. "Well dad," I said "my life is a pile of rubbish and the only way to at least try to fit in at school is to stay up late on the internet, all teenagers do it, just everyone else's parents are much less strict than you guys and actually give their kids independence and let them decide their own bed time!" I started yelling at the end, I don't know why I got so angry, but I then got up from my seat, grabbed my bag, cardigan, shoes and last part of toast and walked out of the door. I've really messed up this time.

When I got to school, my best friend Allie came up to me and gave me a hug. "You alright Cassie?" She asked "You seem a little down today." I then slump onto the fence and she did the same. "My dad's being an idiot again." I complained. Allie knew all about my dad and how we didn't get on. Allie is the only reason that I am still attending Huddersland academy. I hate it. "Babe, it's ok, he will get over it!" Allie tried to reassure me. At that moment the bell rang. "Damn, I've got double maths this morning!" Allie groaned. She gave me a hug, we said goodbye to each other and went our separate ways.

When I got to my Science class, I knew just what to expect. Jordan Miller is in this class and I always know that he will pick on me. I am not popular, and I'm not all that pretty like the other girls. I have long Auburn hair that I usually wear in a bun on top of my head and I usually wear my reading glasses all the time at school so I can see everything a bit clearer. I can't afford designer clothes, so I always wear what is comfortable to school. "Hey look, it's Cass, looking like trash!" Jordan shouts. I glare at him and shout "Seriously? Grow up, we are in our last year of secondary school and you still try to insult me like a 4 year old would!" I know it's not smart to reply to comments like this but I was so angry. "Oooo, Cassie, don't get your knickers in a twist!" Jordan shouted. Luckily, Mr Rochdale - our teacher - chose that moment to invite the class into the room. I practically sprinted.

When school finished, I walked round to Michelle's coffee shop, where I work. I got in and put my apron on and started cleaning the coffee machine, like I always do. "You alright, my love?" Michelle shouted from out the back. "I'm good thanks, M" I shouted back. Michelle employed me when I was 13 and my duties have been increasing now that I am nearly 17. I practically run the place now.

Just then, the door opened and in came Sally, one of Allie's friends from her lessons, we've only talked a few times but I don't like Sally, when she is with Allie and I am there, they seem to think that I don't exist! "Hey Sally!" I say cheerfully, "what can I get you?" She scowls at me. "I'll have a hot chocolate with all the toppings please." She says. I type it into the till and then smile at her and say "£1.50 please", the smile on my face remaining fake and stuck there. She gives me the money and takes a seat at one of the tables while I prepare her drink. At the end of my shift, I hang up my apron, say goodbye to Michelle and take a long walk back to my house, taking my time because things are going to be bad when I get home...
