Skylox: the maid

Chapter 4

Sky hugged his mom goodbye and walked out the door. He took a deep breath in and out and walked towards Deadlox's castle. How long was it going to be until he saw his mom again? Will she be fine on her own? What about Dawn? Sky kept asking himself all these questions yet tried to answer them at the same time. He didnt find himself very convincing though. It seemed like in no-time he was at Deadlox's castle. He rang the doorbell and with at least 5 seconds it opened to reveal jack standing there.

"Hey Sky, welcome back." Jack said gesturing him inside.

"Thanks." Sky said smiling with a small blush. 'Am I blushing?!' Sky asked himself.

"Deadlox wanted me to tell you that we are sharing a room because they try to keep as many rooms available as possible."

"Oh, ok." Sky said. At least he got to be with the only person he knew so far. Jack led them to their room and unlocked the room with a room key.

"Here." Jack said handing Sky a room key. Wow, Sky didn't remember ever seeing this before. "So you just put it in our door and it opens?" Sky asked.

"Yeah, pretty much."

Sky was fascinated by how the room key worked. Sky put his suitcase down on his bed which was parallel to Jack's. He took out his maid outfit and went into the bathroom to change. When he got inside he looked for a lock but there was none. Sky opened the door and peeped his head through the crack. "Well. Since theres no lock how bout we just say this is occupied." Sky said laughing. Jack also laughed. Sky was surprised jack found him funny. No-one really ever found him funny. Sky closed the door and smiled to himself. He quickly changed and stepped outside the bathroom and put his clothes in his suitcase. He looked up at jack and swore he saw a blush. Sky just smiled as jack shook he head.

"Well Sky, I gotta go, those vases aren't gonna clean themselves." Jack said as they both laughed. Sky realized he better get on with his work too.

Sky heard the excusal bell ring throughout the large house and Sky smiled. He was about to walk out the door until he heard a name call him.

"Sky!" Jack yelled. "Where are you going? You live here now remember?" Jack said laughing. Sky laughed too. It seemed as if jack had a tone of worry in his voice when he saw Sky leaving. They both walked up to their room chatting about what they did today and how Sky was impressed with everything that was in the castle. They continued chatting until 10:32 PM. "Oh wow, it's getting late, we better be getting to bed." Jack said.

"Yeah." Sky said. Sky had already brushed his teeth but jack hadn't so jack got up to do that. When he came out 2 minutes later and saw Sky sleeping. He smiled and walked over and gave Sky a kiss on the cheek. "Goodnight." He whispered. Though Sky hadn't been asleep.
