The fighting is over. The battle was won, but on thing is left uncertain. What will I do now?

Sprinkled in blood that is not all my own, I feel a wet cloth on my opened wounds, along with words of comfort and love. After everything I did to him, all the trouble I caused, Marth still loves me. Not only that but this previous battle has proven that we are better together then apart. I want to be with him but I'm still afraid. I'm still a coward. Once Marth is finished treating my wounds, he simply holds me while we sit under the blooming trees. The embrace he gave, this is what it feels like to be loved, isn't it? It's...nice. I think I can live with this. I don't think I can live without this anymore.

"Are you alright (y/n)?" He asked softly

"Ya, I'm good." Marth simply hummed in response. He held me gently, but his breathing was erratic. Something was bothering him, and I know what it is. He is wondering if I've changed my mind about leaving. To be honest, I don't even know if I'm coming or going. Our moment was interrupted by Ike who had news on the scouts sent out to see if their were more bandits in hiding.

"The scouts report that there are no more bandits in the surrounding area. I'm pretty sure (y/n) scared them off when she went berserk." Ike laughed whole hardheartedly.

"I'm sorry if I went a bit overboard..." I nervously responded.

"There's no need to apologize. In a battle their no such thing as going overboard," Ike reassured me, "Um, Marth? Can I speak to you in private for a second?"

"Oh? Sure." Marth reluctantly let go of me, and followed Ike to speak in private. What are they going to talk about?

Marth's point of view

As Ike lead me away from, (y/n), I feared that she would run off again. Once we reached a spot out of earshot I looked over in her direction to see her adjusting her bandages in the same spot were I left her. I sighed in relief. "What did you want to talk about Ike?"

"Look Marth," Ike seamed strangely serious, "I know that this is a sensitive topic for you but, I need to talk to you about (y/n)."

I was confused at first. "What? Why?"

"Marth, she seems like a great person and all but, she is very cautious. She studies every situation carefully, with minimal error."

"And the problem is?" I personally think that this is an excellent quality that she possesses.

"If she thinks that you are in danger because of her presence, then maybe she's right." I opened my mouth to speak but Ike interrupted me," And I know what you are going to say. 'I can protect her, she is safe with me'. Her safety is not the issue. It's yours. She probably thinks that she doesn't have the power to protect you, or maybe she just wants to get rid of a few more enemies before she commits herself to you. Although, I could be wrong I'm not Robin, I don't do strategy, but what I am good at is being your friend. And I'm telling you all of this as your friend. You catch my drift?"

"Ya I get it, but it's still her decision. You can bring a horse to water but you can't make it drink." I spoke sadly, but truthfully. Not matter what I do, I can't make her come with me, it's her choice. Ike put his arm around my shoulders in a comforting matter.

"But don't worry Marth! Even if she does leave, I have a hunch that she will come back after a while." Seeing Ike all goofy again eased my sorrows slightly, but I still don't want her to leave. As we head back to (y/n), I notice that we are packing up and leaving for the capital soon.

(y/n)'s point of view

When I looked up from my now healed flesh, I saw Marth and Ike walking back towards me. I'm curious as to what they spoke about but it's really none of my business. I bet it doesn't even have anything to do with me.
