The others were all in bed, probably asleep. Feyre's distress practically radiated off of her as a servant led her back to her room. Feyre's story and distress started to bring back painful memories but I shoved them away, trying to form theories about the Wyrdmarks.

Rowan had tried to convince me to come to bed around an hour ago. I waved him off saying I would be there soon, but in reality I had no plans on sleeping, not when there was work to be done. I had slipped away, unbeknownst to Rowan and the others in the palace, to the grand library that had been restored in Orynth, Rowan's mating gift to me, or at least part of it. Most of the donated books, texts, and other items were at this library. The others were in the palace being personally sorted by me to see if I wanted them in my private collection or not.

But I've been wandering around the library, reading about Wyrdmarks, and have found nothing of use. I was just about to call it a night when something interesting in the book open before me caught my eye. My eyes widen as I read the text.

Witch mirror and known for being used to peer into places around the world. The witch's kept this fact a secret until a Fae discovered that if combined with certain Wyrdmark the witch mirrors could be used to peer into other worlds. Unfortunately, the Fae that originally made this discovering Faded soon after, and none of his work was recorded. This remains a speculation among the Fae and witch's, and has not been tested since the original hypothesis. The only thing that remains of this theory is the Wrydmarks that are said to have been used on the witch mirror experiment.

I read over the text again, then scan the back of the page, reading the Wrydmarks used in the experiment. Reading this also reminded me of the time Dorian brought up one of his conversation with Maeve when he spent that time with her in Morath. He had mentioned something similar.

I bolt out of my chair, grabbing the books I was reading. Then I run out of the library and back to the palace. I had a witch mirror to find.

Dorian and Feyre sat around me as we looked at the witch mirror I managed to scrounge up this morning. When I returned the palace from the library exhaustion hit me fast and true, sending me to bed despite the work I wanted to do. But when I woke up I felt regenerated and immediately set out to find the witch mirror. And now that I did it was time to peer into Feyre's world.

"So, how does this work then?" Dorian asks.

"I draw these Wyrdmarks around the rim of the mirror, then something to represent Feyre's world in the center. But Dorian I need your blood to strengthen the marks because of the raw magic in your veins, in addition to mine. Then we'll burn and freeze the marks at the same time to activate the magic," I explain, trying looking at the book I read last night to confirm what I said. Feyre nods her head in understanding. I then take out a knife and cut me and Dorian's fingers. I draw the marks and uses Dorian's blood too to strengthen the marks.

"Feyre, what can we draw in the center of the mirror to represent your world?" I tilt my head towards Feyre, ready to draw a symbol. Instead, she grabs my fingers and with delicate movements paints my blood onto the mirror, creating a symbol. She even grabs Dorian's finger to add his blood in.

"There, the symbol of the Night Court," she huffs and she releases our fingers to examine her work.

We look at the symbol she drew, and mountain with tiny stars in the sky. Then me and Dorian share a look before simultaneously freezing and burning the marks. With a false of blinding light and mirror lights almost burning the table beneath it. But just as quickly as the light came, it disappears. And in its wake it showed an image of a fae male, holding a small child. Feyre cries out and reaches to touch the mirror, then recoils when the image starts to warp at the closeness of her hand.

"Rhys, Kai," she whispers, tears streaming down her face. She quickly wipes them away. "How do I get home then?" she asks me.

"I don't know. But this confirms that there must be a way to your world, and it also confirms my suspicions about you," I reply.

"What?" Feyre asks and even Dorian raises an eyebrow at me.

"When I was forging the Wyrdgate, and after I destroyed the gods of this world I feel through portals and windows of different worlds, trying to find my own. During my search I feel through yours, glimpsing you and your mate atop a mountain while you were still pregnant. Your mate somehow knew I was there and helped push me towards another window to help me reach my world faster."

Feyre and Dorian both look at me, slightly shocked. I shrug and watch Feyre's mate slowly disappear as the magic of the Wyrdmarks faded. Then the door to my study banged open and Fenrys rushed in.

"Aelin, a messenger from Lord Darrow came bearing urgent news that requires your immediate attention," Fenrys breathes out. I rush out with Fenrys, all too wary about what this message could be. As much as I would like to help Feyre the well being of my kingdom must come first.

We enter the grand hall, where me and Rowan's thrones are. Rowan and Lorcan and in the room already, along with a very tired looking messenger, who is still breathing hard. At my entrance, he bows but I raise my hand, gesturing for him to stand again.

"My queen," he huffs," I come bearing grave news."

"What?" I ask, worried now about this news. The messenger takes in a deep breathe before meeting my eyes.

"Lady Evangeline has gone missing."
