I woke up at 7:30 in the morning at the foot of my bed, and my trignometry book still open. I fell asleep while studying. Stupid.
But the things I saw last night came flooding right into me like a tidal wave. The school bell ringing midnight.....the black feathers....
As far as I'm concerned, there are no crows in this place. But while in my thoughts, something caught my eye. Just on my windowsill is a large black feather.... I stood up and slowly placed it on my palm. No, definitely too big for a crow..... not a vulture....of course not.....this is not a desert...
Those thoughts were circling inside my head, and the more I dwell on those thoughts, the more horrible my thoughts became... No... It can't be... they do not know where I live... how could they possibly find out? With an archangel and a virtue in their presence, they would not take any risks...
An angels presence was enough to intimidtae them, to scare them off a bit. "Them" being demons. They're a bit outnumbered, but their powers can be unimaginable. I am still a young virtue... and I still have no experiences with demons, although I see their real forms if I an in my divine form, but as I said, my human body hinders me from using all my powers. Overusing it would disintegrate my body, and eventually, I would go back to Heaven. Not a good thing... failing is not an option.
I decided to keep my feather under my bed, and not to tell Gabriel anything. With the chances of him bursting out, and ending up hitting some random guy, who might no even be a demon, and blowing up the whole school, I'd better pipe down.
After I had done all my daily routine, I went outside and met Garbriel in the lobby, waiting for me beside the cadillac. I gulped. It was not easy for me to hide anything from my brother. But I also have to think about other people too. Jumping Thrones! This is crazy......
"Good Morning. Had a good sleep?" Gabe asked cheerfully.
"Oh, Yes. Of course" I try not to nod vigorously. My brother is a bit playful, but he is smart, and knows everything about me. He opened the car door for me and I nervously went inside. This is going to be a long ride....

We arrived at school and everything was noisy as usual, and Lou was waiting for me at the school steps. As soon as my brother and I stepped into the view, I saw her trying to straighten her hair and what seemed like a very short skirt.
The she approached us, and as she came nearer, she seemed to look like a doll.
"Hi Gabe" she twirled her hair in her fingers flirtariously. Gosh, if humans do this all the time, maybe I'd have to go back to Heaven.
"Good morning Lou" my brother says, looking at her indifferently. He didn't look at her body, nor at her face. He was busy talking to the driver.
"Well see you kiddo" Gabe patted my head, then left. Lou looked down and seemed a little disappionted that Gabe didn't notice her at all. Then she brightened up.
"Di Gabe tell you anything about me?" she asks. I laugh.
"We've only met for like, 2 days, and you''re asking me to be my brother's matchmaker?" I ask, smiling. We headed to the school entrance.
"Well, not really. But I want to know what he thinks about me" Lou insisted.
"Well the, he said you're sensible, and would probably make you a good friend" I replied. Which was all true. Gabe and I had her as one of the things we talked about last night. Then the balck feather flashed in my mind again. I watched Lou absentmindedly and only half listened to whatt she was ranting about because I saw mystery guy again, and he was staring at me. Just like yesterday.
"Lou..." I interrupted what she was saying. "What's the name of the guy that I sit with in Latin class?" I ask.
"Oh, he's Caleb Sanders. He's handsome, and smart. But don't try to like him...." Lou replies. Actually, I have no plans in liking him. Us angels shouldn't be involved with humans. It's against our laws. We can guide but never interfere.
"Why not?"
"Because he's something like a loner. Always spends his time with his friends" I already know who Lou was talking about. " His friends do bad things in this school. But he doesn't quite follow. Sure, he goes with them, but he's a bit different. Plus, I heard he's rejected about fifty girls who confessed to him. So don't waste your time with him, Lou"
But I didn't pay attention to what Lou was saying again. A thought shots through my mind. Something that makes my heart soar. Mabe there was a way I could help the affected, even though it's small, after all. And I have to start with Caleb. I want to help him; and I will.
