We arrived at the school at 7:45. Students were already here and some even stare at us. Of course they don't recognize us being angels. But we were climbing out of a luxury car, which meant we were quite a scene right there. Great. We're angels, we're supposed  to be discreet. Gabe totally flunked the whole thing.

"Come on. Let's go" He said happily, as if he was getting his first real sword or something.

We were walking down the huge entrance of the establishment. The school was vast, and the building itself is designed based on greek buildings, with towering pillars and grand stairs.

It was obviously meant for sophisticated people. But so far, the only thing some students get close to the word 'sophisticated' are body peircings, tattoos and a whole lot of black clothing.

"Gabe, why do these mortals look like they're about to go and party down to the underworld?" I asked. His face scrunched up, like he didn't like the prospect of these people wearing these kind of stuff either.

"They're influenced. Like I told you, there are a lot of demons here. That is why we need so much reinforcements" he replied. "Look, they're not as what you think they are" he nodded to them as we passed by.

I looked at the.... what do mortals call them again?  Goth? Ugh, human language is so complicated.    So anyway, I took one look at them and felt a menacing aura around those students. A chill went up my spine, and I prevented myself from wrapping my arms around my body.

"W-what happened?" I whispered, darting my eyes away from the people surrounded with the dark auras, in case that they might notice that I was staring.

"Like I said, they were influenced-- convinced to join their cause. Humans as they are, they can succumb to worldly temptations that these demons can whisper." my brother replied.

"Those demons want someone else to do their dirty job. They are recruiting humans as their familiars or spawns. Well, those who are easy to manipulate anyway" Gabe added.

"How many demons are there?" I asked "What can we do turn them back to normal?"

"As for the first question, there are only 3 demons. Maybe the less powerful ones. We can easily drive them away."

"There are about eight half-breeds here." said he " We can only turn them back to their human consciousness when we purify those demons or half-breeds by making them commit  redemption."

"And if that doesn't work?"

"We'll have to send them back to where they came from. Or we could always have Plan C..." he mused.

"What's Plan C?" I asked, even though I already know the answer. And I pitied the humans who have to suffer for their own weakness.

"We'll have to destroy them all" my brother replied, his eyes hardening as we passed by those humans and entered the archway.

Gabriel and I parted ways to our different classes. Since he was in third year highschool, and I'm in second year. I was walking through the corridor and nearly reached my next class when a girl approached me. She was about my age, with curly brown hair, and a beautiful face.

"Are you the transferee?" she asked politely.

"Yes. I am" I said. Then she extended her hand.

"I'm Louisse Monroe" she introduced herself "Call me Lou"

"Nice to meet you, Lou. I am Hannah" I said and shook her hand. Actually, it's my mortal name. You couldn't get by using your angel name. And the name Haniel isn't much of choice. "Hannah Lewis"

"Nice to meet you too, Hannah" she smiled, showing her brilliant white teeth. " I know you probably don't need any help... but I want to offer mine." she said, and I nodded.

"I need help. A lot of them" I said in relief. These corridors are tricky, and since it's the first time I've ever stepped into a mortal school, I'm going to need a lot of help.

She seemed happier, and I found out that we had almost the same class schedules. We entered the class, which was Latin. There was only one empty seat. The one next to a guy wearing a gray shirt, ripped jeans, and faded sneakers.

He had a crow black hair that was a bit messy. Like he just rolled out of bed, and his eyes were suprisingly blue. He was... you know... beautiful... in a male kind of way. He could have been an angel. If this angel had a very electrifying gaze and a bad aura... faint, but it's still there.

"Oh, you can't sit by me" Lou seemed a little disappionted. Then she brightened up again. Do mortals have moods swings as often? "But I want you to sit with me and my friends at lunch. Would that be okay?"

"Of course. That would be great" I nodded. It was a good cover.

Blending with the mortals would never let the enemy know that an enemy was in their midst. It's also great to have friends here on Earth though you can't stay attached to them so closely. It was a sad prospect, but it's a sacrifice we angels have to make.

Then I sat next to the somewhat-seemed-like-an-angel-but-I-have-a-not-so-good-feeling guy. He was just staring at the board, as if the teacher has already written something there. I didn't mind since I was busy bringing out my book and notebooks from my bag.

"So, you're the new student" he said so suddenly, I jumped and almost knocked myself off my desk.

"Yes, I am" Quite weird really, these humans keep on asking.  I thought he was going to introduce himself, but he just looked at me with his icy blue eyes and smirked then looked away. Ignorance.... Tsss.....

For the rest of the classes that I had attended, I did not see mystery-guy again. I guess we were only  classmates in Latin.

Then lunch came. And just as I had promised, I sat with Lou and a few other girls. There was  a petite brunette called Sandra, another blonde called Marie, and a short-haired girl named Aireen. we got along quite well, and started talking about romance novels. My new friends were a bit... geeky. But in a sort of funny kind of way.

It was all going so well when my hair stood on end, and my spine tingled.

There's someone watching me, I thought.

I turned around, and saw Mr. Mystery guy staring at me. And he was sitting with three other students in black. On girl with blonde hair with a lot of black and red highlights, and two other boys one with heavy eyeliner and the other with ear piercing.

Mystery guy and me stared at each other, and I finally turned away. I had felt cold all over..... Like someone just doused me with cold water.

I was starting to doubt if he's really that human or something else.....
