Kelisha

All I could remember was Joe yelling at me to get back and go with Noah. My mind was so confused I had spaced out for a few minutes. I reached for my cell and dialed nine one one. I was so out of it that I hadn't realized that  Joe took the phone from me to talk to the dispatcher.  I ran over towards Noah and scooped him up before examining him fully. Noah, are you ok baby? I asked him.

His little voice cracked. Yes, I- I-I think so, was all that he could say before breaking down in tears in my arms. Falling on my knees with me holding him tightly I let out a deep breath that I hadn't realized I was holding followed by a few tears as well. Mrs. Kelisha will my mama be fine? I stood up and carried him to a bench close by.  I wiped my tear's and said to him, Noah do you trust me? 

His little eyes looked up at me and said yes I do. You are my new friend and I trust you,  Mr. Joe and baby Kendall very much. Thank you, Noah. Well since you trust us ever so much I  want to keep that trust. So the truth is I don't know what is or what was happening to your mama. But I do know that the doctors will do everything possible to make her better. Do you believe that? Yes, I do. Was the last thing he had said before Joe walked over and scooped Noah on his lap and pulled me underneath him. 

Joe, can we go see my mama now, please? Why don't we allow the doctors to get your mama settled in first and after Kelisha and I make arrangements for  Kendall we will take you to see your mama. Does that sound alright with you? It's good for me. I whispered in Joe's ear, I want to just go home and snuggle with Kendall right now. Of course, anything you want baby girl.

I stood and Joe followed me. Everything is going to be alright. I said to him before interlocking our arms and heading to the car.  We picked Kendall up on our way back to the house.  Once at home I took Kendall and myself into my bedroom stripped my clothes off and just held my beautiful baby girl. Joe walked into the room to check on us. How are my two favorite girls doing? I let out a long sigh and said well. Right before taking Kendall and walking into the bathroom. Hey, talk to me. Joe said right when I set Kendall down in her bounce chair.

I'm ok Joe, I just want a nice hot bubble bath and a glass of wine right about now. Joe grabbed Kendall and they walked out of the bathroom. I ran my tub water and add my bath salt and body soap for the bubbles to form. I turned the speaker on just enough to drown out the emptiness in the bathroom.  Once Joe had walked out of the room I let out a long sigh right before I buried my face in my hands and started to cry.

I must have been crying for a while because I hadn't realized Joe was standing in the bathroom with my glass of wine.  He removed my hands from my face and handed me a towel. Let's get you dried off and in bed. Kendall is in her crib and Noah is watching videos on the tablet. After I get you together I will take him to see Stacy. All I could do was nod my head as I allowed my husband to dry me off and get me dressed for bed.

Joe pulled the bedding back and I climbed inside. Just hold me for a little while, please. I'm here Keke I am here. Joe ran as fingers through my hair as I traced small circles on his thigh. Noah came running into our bedroom without knocking. Joe, I-I heard something his little voice trembled as he was letting us know what happens.  Someone is downstairs and trying to get in the house and I am afraid.

It's ok bud, I'll go check it out. You stay up here with Kelish and Kendall. You are the protector until I get back ok? Joe said to Noah. I heard Joe go in the closet to get the bat out just before he walked down the stairs to check the noise out. I jumped out of bed taking Noah with me and ran into Kendall's room. Noah be quiet ok, I whispered to him. Don't make a sound at all. Stay by my side at all times do you understand me?  Noah nodded his head yes.

Noah started to cry and I had to hold him tight while we set next to Kendall's bed. Everything will be alright I told myself. I heard the front door open up and Joe asking who was there.  I guess no one was there because I heard him come back inside and walk to the kitchen door. After a few seconds had gone by I heard light talking. I told Noah to stay put in the room. I had to go check up on Joe. 

I grabbed the pepper spray and stun gun out of the hallway drawer and crept down the stairs. I found Joe and Stacy in the kitchen talking. I heard Joe tell her she needed to go back to the hospital and get the help she needed. I laid everything on the counter before walking into the kitchen. Stacy what-what are you doing here. You should be in the hospital getting checked out.

I need some money from you and I need it now. Stacy I don't have any money to give to you. You took my wife's money and purse and used it all up.  Joe I- I-I didn't mean to hurt you like that. I needed the money to take care of a place for Noah and I. Stacy you could have asked me to stay here. I would have given you that. Stacy looked up at Joe and me and said, I guess I'll just have to take Noah with me and give him to a friend of mines if you wont give me the money I need.

I'll be damned if you walk out of here with him. Joe said to her. I turned on my heels and walked out of the kitchen and into my office. Once inside the office I opened up the safe and grabbed some money out. I walked back into the kitchen and gave Stacy the money. Here take it and go please. I said to her right before Joe grabbed the money out of my hand. No you don't. We will not pay her to keep her child. He said to me.

Joe he is my child and I will do as I damn please. If I want to leave him with someone I will and it sure in hell won't be you. Please mama I want to stay here with them. I don't want to go to anymore of the places you leave me at. The three of us looked around and didn't realize that Noah had come downstairs. Hey buddy you aren't going to go anywhere. I said to him. You are going to stay right here with us for as long as possible.

Noah held Kendall in his tiny arms really tight as if he were afraid to drop or leave. Hey let's set you and Kendall up in front of the tv. I said to him. Noah shook his head yes as he handed the baby over to me and we walked towards the living room. I set the babies up in front of the tv and walked back into the kitchen to finish what was started with Joe and Stacy.

Joe please just give me my child or the money and we wont have any problems. Stacy don;t you see you have a problem already. I will not allow you to use my money for drugs nor will I allow you to take your child, my nephew out of this house to sell him for drugs.

 Joe I will do as I damn please with this little boy right here. I am sorry you don't know what it means to be a real parent to a child, but this one is mine and I will not allow you to treat him like he belongs to you. What are you talking about Stacy I get it. At that moment I cut Joe off. Let me tell you something Stacy, Joe might have not physically help me create Kendall but I be damned if you will insult him by saying he is not a real father. 

Joe is as much a father to that little girl as well as he has been to Noah. It takes a real man to step up to the plate and do the thing's Joseph has done for our daughter as well as our son. Granted her father is in the picture and hes an amazing father as well but Joe is her dad. Kelisha you don't have to take up for him at all he's a piece of trash. So I guess he's a piece of trash because he won't allow you to get drugs and take his nephew out of the house to be hurt.

I walked up to Stacy and was about to show her where the door was. Before I could do that Joe had stood in between us and told her it was best if she left and never came back. I put Kendall to bed grabbed a bottle of wine soaked in the tub and cried until I couldn't cry anymore. I hadn't realized it was after midnight until Joe came to get me from off of the patio. Let's go inside babe.
