2| WIND (part three)

A voluminous gale tore through Dammom square sending furniture, items, people and debris alike rocketing through the air. So strong was the wind that it flattened street lights and threatened to uproot entire shops off the ground. Accompanying the wind were red as blood clouds that hastily covered the sky, infecting every last inch. Not long after, it was followed by a thick red haze that filled the gap between land and sky. Before long, it was a red apocalypse.

"Auria, get up!" Ethan yelled, shaking the now limp girl. "I see the wind in pain. It calls for he of night to help. It cries for he of night to come," she said mystically maintaining the deep nebulous look about her, the veins rooted themselves deeper. "Jake, stay here, hide Auria. I'll be back," Ethan instructed as he wriggled his fingers and between them, I could see sparks of electricity! I gawked at this but quickly gained my seriousness, "where are you going?" I asked and he turned to me just before heading out "Jake, I know. I know you can't do spells and Auria is in that state. Everyone on the streets is just running about scared, so someone has to do something about it," he said calmly.

I looked at him in massive shock, but at that point, the tremor inside of me had already become so powerful, I couldn't form much expression. "Don't worry, I won't tell. And I'm not mad - you had your own reasons," he said before he headed out. The fog was quick to enter even in the minute moment he opened the door.

It was just me and Auria in the room. "He of night is nearby, but why won't he help the wind?" She asked and I shook my head "I don't know Auria but for now, let me get you hiddedn," I answered but got no more interaction from her lifeless form. Panicking as a massive thunder quaked through the small shop, I got up and dragged Auria to the back of the counter. Foolishly, controlled by my emotions and stupid curiosity I walked up to the door and opened outside to see what was going on. More to see if Ethan was alright. But the fog being too thick for me to see forced me to walk outside.

I was met - as soon as I stepped on the ground - by a long, wicked, maniacal laughter. It boomed high above the rest of the chaos as the gust only got worse. I grabbed onto a the wall of Ulio but it was some different force rooting me to the ground. At the junction, I saw Ethan. Massive bolts of lightning had snaked down from the cloud tops and linked to his hands. His feet were held firm in place by small crystals that surrounded them. He was joined suit by a man in a Victorian England outfit. His blaring red eyes pierced through the haze like lasers. As he walked through, I felt him. He gave off this presence that literally yet latently traveled through the air in massive waves that made it hard to move - it was dark and cold, on the sense that it touched your very blood. That was evil as evil can be.

Stretching his hands high into the air, then bringing them down in front of him, Ethan sends a gale of his own. Though not as powerful, it takes the man by surprise, pushing him backwards slightly. "Oh my. Oh my my indeed, why, you're no fun at all. Not at all," the man said comically and darkly at the same time before raising his hands till about waist level and a thicker than the haze, red plume erupted, sending boulders the size of buses flying right at Ethan. But he was unfazed. "You call torturing people fun?" He asked before launching a grand bolt of ligntning that ate through the rock, incinerating it immediately. He smirked at this, proud but the red robed man only grinned.

"That was interesting! But you bore me, please, out of my way," he said putting on a bored expression. Ethan, infuriated, balled his left hand before shooting out if it a ball lightning. Roiling in energy, it rolled through the ground, shooting sparks and picking up vigor as it did. But when it got to the red man, he simply swished his hand and another gust of wind came tearing through the square. This one had unbelievable power, much more than the last. So much so, that it not only annihilated the ball lightning, but it ripped an entire building off the ground sending it and its contents, flying towards the people hovering in the air. Not long after, the man sends a powerful shockwave of furious scarlet energy grumbling towards Ethan. So powerful was it that the ground - pavement and all - just splashed like water.

I couldn't watch any longer. Throwing caution into the wind, I darted as fast as my feet could carry me towards Ethan, flanking him. "Jake? What are you doing here?! I told you to stay back!" Angry, Ethan shouted. Turning my head just a little, I spared him my attention - but I never answered. The growling within me got more furious and evolved into an powerful earthquake that thundered in the air so much so that I felt the air rebound in retaliation. Out of an inner feeling, I raised my hand, thereafter, I knew exactly what I was going to do next.

"EDA-AVIX," I screamed and a quick, sharp crack sounded and the gale vanished just as fast. Out of my outstretched hand, a bubble of dark, light warping energies grew rapidly. Within the second it formed, it was pressing against the sky right above the clouds which it incinerated like ink in water. It took up the fog rapidly while everything under the bubble, adopted a monochromatic blue color. When it touched the shockwave, it shattered it easily like a boulder through a thin frame of glass. Upon the impact, the bubbly burst, sending hurricane force gales far more heavy than the first two that hit. When they subsided, the buildings, in nauseating movements, warped back onto the ground along with the debris and the people. In a split second, it was as if Dammom square was unaffected. As if the event was just a old memory long forgotten.

Down side: I felt drained as if I hadn't any idea what sleep was. "What in the world was that? Why would you? How?" Ethan asked standing in front of me, his eyes in shock. "I don't really know, I just got out and that happened. I'm not even sure what I was doing half the time!" I told him, a little amused at how shocked he looked. "Jake, this is serious, you just conjured forbidden magic! Jake, you could be in serious trouble!"
