Reader's POV

*1 week later*

This past week I've spent my time saying goodbye to my friends. Now, I stand in front of my new apartment. The inside isn't bad, pretty decent for last minute, I guess. My mom and I unpack, then I went outside to go running. The neighborhood is nicer than I expected, and I wanted to see my new school before I go. I ran by it and it really is an improvement from Karasuno. After, I head home.

The next morning came, and it was my first day at my new school, Aoba Jousai High. Taking the bus was okay, not as bad as I thought. When I got there I was so lost, but somehow I made it to the administration's office. Following my schedule, I went to my math class. I sat in the back row and people started to fill in the seats. Looking at them, I already saw the groups. The teacher was boring, I almost fell asleep. He never stopped talking and writing out math equations, I just wanted to leave.

"Okay class, in the last ten minutes let's welcome our new transfer student." Ugh, why do teachers do this, I kept it short and introduce myself.

Class ended and in front of my locker, I found a girl from my math class. "Excuse me," I said.

"Sorry." She replies, "Are you (F/N) (L/N)?"

"Yes." I nod my head.

"Great, well I'm Airi and I'm on the student council, we welcome new students." She says cheerfully.

"Oh um thanks. Hey, could you tell me where... history is?" I ask.

"Yeah, can I see your schedule?" I take it out and hand it to her, "Oh we have 4 classes together. I can show you because I'm going there too."

"That would be great." I thank her and follow her through the halls.

When we arrive she says, "Here sit with me." She smiles and laughs. I walk into the class and I think Airi and I are going to be good friends. The teacher begins class and me yet again, I must introduce myself. I look around at my class and I see Oikawa and his friend, I noticed him from the Karasuno practice match. We made eye contact for 3 seconds and I moved on.

The rest of my day I realize Airi, her friends, and Oikawa are in my classes. So far my day has been good. I ask Airi about volleyball and she said that her friend, Hana plays for the girl's team so I follow her to practice one day.

I study them and within a few seconds, I can tell they are definitely better than Karasuno, but not by much. I don't want to spend another season losing, so I'm torn about what to do. To clear my head, I go to see my friends from Karasuno. I board the bus, which was more crowded than usual, making it harder to find an empty seat. After a while of walking up and down the aisle, I find an empty seat near the back. Placing my stuff in my lap, I turn my music up and enjoy the rest of my ride. An hour past, the bus slows down to a stop. Gathering my stuff I stand and wait for the bus to completely stop. I let the remaining people on the bus exit first before I go to avoid bumping into anyone. As I step out I notice that it is late in the afternoon, the sun was still up but in a few hours, it will melt into the horizon.

I walk on the familiar trail to Karasuno High school. Entering the gym, I take a seat on the bench next to the court to watch the boy's volleyball team finish practice. "Good to see you again (Y/N)." Greets Kiyoko, "How's your new place?"
