"Hey! Eddy!" Belle said as she opened the door. Eddy stepped inside.

"What did you need me for?" He asked.

"Look who's here!" Belle said, and at that moment, Eddy's grandmother stepped into the hallway.

"Oh! Hey grandma!" Eddy said enthusiastically.

Eddy loved his grandma, he really did. She was always so kind and welcoming, and full of hugs and kisses.

And she smelt like strawberries.

But he still found himself slightly frustrated at his sister for calling him over so soon. There were so many things he wanted to talk to Brett about. Why has he been so tense lately? Why the hell is he dating Sophie? Will things ever be better between us?

Eddy sighed, and added one more question to the list:

Will he accept me if I'm gay?

After dinner, Eddy found his grandma sitting in the lounge, all by herself.

"Hey grandma," Eddy said as he sat down next to her.

"Hello Eddy," she said in her thick Chinese accent. "You've grown so much! Girlfriend for you soon!"

Eddy laughed, which made his grandma smile.

"So, who's the lucky girl?" She asked.

"I'm too busy practicing for her to notice me!" Eddy joked. As much as he loved his grandma, he couldn't let her find out he was gay.

"Then make her notice you!" Grandma said. "Wear cool clothes, or makeup, or whatever you kids do nowadays!"

Eddy laughed again. "Thanks grandma. I'll try."

Once grandma had left, Eddy went up to his sisters room.

"Hey, Belle?" He asked.

"What do you want?"

"Could you teach me how to do makeup?"

Belle laughed. "My peculiar little brother now wants to do makeup. Why?"

I want Brett to notice me, he thought. "It's cool." He said. "All the boys are doing it now. Like the KPOP stars."

Belle laughed. "Okay then. I'll show you."

Eddy was actually okay at doing his own makeup.

Except for eyeliner.

"Could you do my eyeliner for me?" He asked after attempting to do it himself 4 times.

Belle laughed, and did his eyeliner. She then stepped back to admire his face. "Damn Eddy. Brett will turn gay when he sees you."

Eddy looked in the mirror. In front of him stood a beautiful, and... Cute, Eddy thought. I look cute. He smiled at himself. And sexy, he added when his reflection smiled back at him.

The next morning, Eddy put on makeup again. He loved the way it felt, brushing something onto his face and seeing himself slowly transform into something, someone else.

Of course he got his sister to do his eyeliner again.

"You wearing it in public today?" She asked. Eddy nodded.

"Good luck. You look fabulous."

Eddy hugged his sister before opening the door and leaving the house.

Eddy felt amazing. He felt more confident wearing makeup. He loved the weird looks from people he got.

He got some supportive looks too. Looks that said "I think it's really cool what you're doing, and I'm not going to judge you for it." And looks from more familiar people that said "dude! You look brilliant!"

Tchaikovsky should've tried makeup, he joked to himself.

Soon, he arrived at their local coffee shop. His heart started to beat faster, worried that he would run into someone he knew.

"Oi! Eddy!" The cashier yelled. "Nearly didn't recognise you!"

Eddy laughed.

"Just the usual then? Or something new to go with your new look?" The cashier joked. "Just the usual please." Eddy laughed.

"You look great man. Cheers." The cashier said, after typing his order into the cashier-machine-thing.

"Thanks Jim. Cheers." Eddy said, and sat down to wait for his coffee.

Mostly good reactions so far. He thought to himself. But what will Brett think?
