Swallowed By Fear

Chapter nine

(Flashback)

"Come here baby, c'mon you can do it" James was sitting on the floor with his arms out.

Samantha was holding onto the couch trying not to fall, she took a step forward wobbling a bit.

"Good job" James clapped his hands softly smiling at the little girl in front of him.

Sam grabbed onto James arm once she got closer, she fell into his arms hugging him.

James stood up with Sammy in his arms hearing someone at the door.

"Open up Jamie boy"

When James kidnapped Samantha he moved far away, a man found him, they were by themselves for a month eventually the two of them formed a group called the saviours.

Negan walked into the little room, he sat down on the couch Lucille by his side.

Sam reached over to Negan wanting the man wearing the leather jacket to hold her.

The man grabbed her, a smile crept onto his face.

"Hey baby girl" Sammy grabbed onto the mans leather jacket, she jumped up and down on his lap smiling up at him.

"She took her first steps today" James told Negan smiling.

Samantha looked up at the men, she fell back, her head hitting Negan's chest.

(One year later)

"Daddy" James was out with Simon and Dwight, they were looking for more weapons or food.

Negan offered to take care of Sam until James got back.

"Daddy's out" the little girl sighed, she ran over to Negan who was sitting on the couch.

"Play" Sammy asked him.

"You want to play" Negan asked her.

"Play" the little girls blonde hair was falling in front of her face, she had woken up not to long ago so her hair wasn't brushed yet.

Negan grabbed a bag full of toys that Samantha had brought over.

The little girl dumped the bag out onto the ground causing the toys to fall onto the ground.

Sam picked up the building blocks, she spread them out on the floor.

Negan sat down on the floor with her, the two of them built a house.

(One year later)

Sammy was three now, she knew how to walk, talk and run, she knew that James wasn't her real father but she didn't really understand it.

James was a good father when Samantha was behaving herself, when she was bad she would get in trouble.

Negan, James, Simon and Dwight were out along with most of the saviours, they were fighting a war between a couple of communities.

Sam wanted to find her real family, she doesn't want to leave James or Negan though.

She didn't know where they lived or if they were the enemy.

The little girl walked out of the sanctuary trying to avoid anyone and anything.

Sammy walked for a while till she seen a community, Alexandria.
