Swallowed By Fear

Chapter eleven

(Flashback)

"Dad c'mon we gotta go" Carl helped his father up the hill and away from the prison.

The governor had just attacked the prison, the group was all scattered.

"I...I can never save anyone" Rick mumbled upset with himself.

Carl looked at the ground, he knew that his father didn't mean for any of this to happen but some part of him is blaming is father for everything.

For Sophia, Dale, Shane, Samantha, Lori and Hershel.

"I wish Samantha and mom were still here" Carl told his father.

"Me too, if only I had Sam sleeping with me maybe she would still be here" Rick said.

"Anne I haven't seen you since before all of this happened"

"How's Rick" Anne asked Shane.

"He's good well he has when I left" Shane told her.

"What happened" the lady asked.

"We got surrounded by a hoard of walkers, I got attacked by a guy wearing a dead mans face"

"Then we found you" Shane nodded his head.

"It's your fault, it's all your fault" Carl shouted at his father.

"Your fault that mom died, your fault that Samantha got kidnapped, your fault that the governor attacked us, all your fault" Carl slid onto the ground crying.

"I want it to go back to normal dad, I want mom and Sam back, want all of this to go away" the boy cried.

Carl jumped back when he felt something touch his back.

His father was reaching for him, like a walker would, Carl let out a small cry, his father couldn't die not now.

The boy pulled out his gun, his hands shaking, he aimed his gun at his father.

"I.... I can't" Carl's gun dropped to his side, the boy let out a cry.

"I can't do it" he cried, he had already killed his mom, he thought that after that he'd be able to do it but he just can't.

"Carl.... I'm sorry" Rick mumbled before passing out on the floor, Carl lifted up Rick's head before placing it on his lap.
