Chapter 7

He took my hand when we went in the car and I pulled away. He looked at me weird.

“Why did you kill him?” I asked, traumatized.

He looked at me angrily. “He touched you inappropriately. No one is allowed to do that except me.” He said.

He pulled up to the house and I got out before he could do anything. I went in and straight to my bedroom, slamming the door behind me. I couldn’t date a murderer. I couldn’t do it.

I heard loud knocking at my door and I closed my eyes, sliding down the wall, letting tears out. “GO AWAY!” I yelled. The knocking only got louder and I bit my lip, opening my eyes and wiping the tears away.

“What do you want?!” I snapped at the door.

“Please let me in. I was trying to protect you. I got angry.” Alexander’s voice say. I sighed and ran my fingers through my short black hair. “Come in.” I said, unlocking the door and sitting on my bed.

He walked in the room and looked at me, frowning. “Please don’t tell me I made you cry.” He said, regret swarming in his eyes. “I’m so sorry. I really am.” He walked to me and sat down, wiping the tears from my eyes.

I sighed. “I just don’t understand why you had to kill him. I mean, yelling at him would have been enough, but Murder?” I asked.

“No one should touch ANY girl like that without permission. And the fact that he did it to my mate, it was too much. I want you to be happy, but you’re mine.” He said.

I frowned. I was starting to understand his over protective nature. It bothered me though. I had always been my own person. I had never been in a relationship and I barely had any friends so I didn’t understand this.

“Can you just…PLEASE try to control your anger?” I asked, frowning. He nodded.

“Yes, but if someone wishes or puts harm on you, I will not hesitate to kill them.” He said. I sighed.

“I’ll take it…for now.” I said, flopping on my bed. My butt hurt from the guy slapping it. I winced.

I could feel his anger.

“He’s dead now. There’s no point in getting angry.” I said, closing my eyes.

“Sorry. It just bothers me.” He said. I nodded. “I know.”

It was quiet for a while then he broke the silence. “Can I lay with you?”

I thought for a second. “Yeah. Sure.” I nodded. He laid next to me and brought me into his arms. For some odd reason I felt safe. Like no one could hurt me while I was here. His arms were tight around my waist and he nuzzled his face into my neck, making me giggle. He chuckled.

“You go to sleep. You need it.” He said in my ear. I closed my eyes and slowly drifted off.
