Chapter 9

I woke up in the morning and tried to move but Alexander’s arms were still tight around me. My stomach grumbled.

“Hey! Alexander, get up.” I said to him. He groaned and pulled me tighter to him. “I’m good.” He said.

I sighed and flicked his forehead. He let go of me. “Fine! Go eat or do whatever.” He said, walking into the restroom. I smiled and pulled a jacket over my tank top.

I went downstairs and grabbed a bagel from the pantry, sticking it in the toaster. Charles walked into the room and sat down.

“So, did you two talk about what happened last night?” He asked. I grabbed my bagel and sat down in front of him.

“Yeah.” I replied, stuffing my face. He chuckled.

“He can be a jerk sometimes but I think you’ll really learn to love you. He does it for all of us. He loves us all and wants to keep us out of harm’s way.” He said. I nodded and took another bite of food. Alexander appeared next to me and sat down.

“So, I was thinking since we haven’t had a proper date, you might want to go on with me?” He asked, looking me straight in the eyes.

I smiled softly. “Sure. I’ll go.” I said.

His eyes lit up and he got this ridiculous smile on his face. “Okay, be ready by 5 pm. You’ve still go all day.” He said. Alexander got up and walked back upstairs. I finished off my bagel.

I sat around watching Disney movies until 4:00 and then got up and went upstairs. Walking to my closet, I pulled out a pair of black high waisted jeans, a long sleeve black crop top, and a pair of creepers. I threw it all on and looked in the mirror. I smiled a little and put on light mascara and some lip balm.

I wanted to look at least a little dressed up so I went to the bathroom and straitened my short black, unruly hair. (A/N: I picture her looking just like Hannah Pixie Snowdon, Oliver Syke’s girlfriend)

I walked back to my room and looked in the mirror. Damn, I would date me. There was a knock at the door and a second later Alexander walked in. He looked at me up and down and smiled.

“God, you’re so beautiful.” He said, hugging me. I smiled and kissed his cheek.

“And you’re handsome.” I said.

He smiled and took my hand, leading me to the car. I got in and he started driving.

We had been in the car for about 20 minutes and I started to get a little nervous. What if he was taking me to a dark warehouse where he would murder me?

“Are you okay?” He asked me with concern in his eyes.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” I said, biting my lip.

“Are you sure? Because I can feel the waves of nervousness coming off you.” He said, looking at me.

“Yeah, where are we going? Why is it taking so long?” I asked.

He chuckled. “I’m not going to kill you. We’re going to the beach. I love it there at night.”

I sighed in relief. He laughed a little.

“Baby, I could never dream of hurting you.”
