It was just before lunch and I was at my locker, putting my English revision textbooks into my bag. I heard someone behind me, so I turned around, thinking it was Michael. "Hey, I think you left-" I started, but I stopped mid-sentence when I realised it was will who was stood behind me, not Mikey. "Oh, uh, hi Will. I, uh, tried to call you last night but I-" "SHUT UP!" He yelled, slamming my locker shut. My heart pounded. I backed away from will, stopping when my back hit the lockers behind me. "I know where you were last night," he said, clenching his fists. "Yeah, I was at my cousins-" "DID I SAY YOU COULD SPEAK?" Will yelled, cutting me off. I shook my head no. "You were with him, weren't you? That Michael kid." I froze. How did he know? "I wasn't wi-" "DONT LIE TO ME! I know you were with him!" Will slapped me hard across my face, making me fall to the ground. I could taste blood. "If I see you with him again, there will be trouble," will said, turning around and walking towards the cafeteria. I got up slowly, trying to hide the throbbing pain in my face. "Hey! Y/n!" I heard Michael call as he jogged towards me. I tried to turn away from him. Fear filled my body. What if Will was watching? "Y/n, what's wrong?" Michael asked, placing a hand on my shoulder. I ignored him and walked away, but Michael followed. "Please, Michael," I whimpered, "just go away." Michael stopped in his tracks. "Does that mean our tutor session is canceled tonight?" He asked. I didn't turn to face him and just continued walking. "Stay away, Michael. Please. It's for the best."
